I would not normally complain about background music in a video, unless it is particularly obnoxious or it drowns out the informations being provided.. The information provided is more important to me that the backhround music. However, I find that I prefer videos that have no, or very low volume, background music, and I am more likley to subscribe to and revisit that type of video. Having said that, it's your channel, so your choice.

I think I've binged my way backwards through this build, but I genuinely LOVE how simple yet totally practical these tables and benches are. No pretentious over engineering, just simple designs that are entirely customisable. New work top required? Unscrew and replace. New drop saw with different dimensions? Replace the section specific to it between the cabinets. Designs that grow with your shop that don't need to be fully rebuilt are the best. Best believe I have these videos saved for when I get space for my own full time workshop.

Almost finished with my miter saw table. This is only my 3rd build and am learning a lot. Old dog new tricks. I am waiting for the knob kit to arrive so I can finish up. I modified the size to fit my tight space and had to go with white melamine because I couldn't find anyone with black in my area but it'll work all the same. I'll post pics when I am done. Thanks for the instructions!

Just started building mine - a word of wisdom to all those using metric lengths - 2400mm is NOT the same as 8ft! it's a little short of 8ft, so when looking at the cutting diagram in the free plans, pieces 14 and 15 will make the cross pieces a little too short. I suggest that you cut a couple of 'shims' from the offcuts of the other lengths and glue them to the ends of the cross pieces before you pocket hole them. Other than that Zach has made a fantastic bench with easy to use plans. I cannot wait to finish it. Oh and Zach, with prices as they are now for wood, this came out at £190 ($241), that is with an MDF top (I'll buy stick on melamine) and no edge trim. I love watching your builds. Keep the videos coming.

I used your basic plan to build my miter saw bench, I have a similar tool chest. I used only wood I reclaimed from pallets including the plywood top. I made it mobile with castors as I have very limited space and that will allow me to do longer projects. Thank you for sharing. Wish I could attach a picture.

This Miter Saw Table looks awesome. It is just what I am looking for. I have just started to build my own woodworking shop and this Miter Saw Table for me is a must. What I really like is that you designed it to take a roll away tool chest as I have one too and this will be perfect for my needs. Many years ago I acquired quite a few sheets of 3/4" plywood so I am going to use that and glue some black Laminate on top of that to make the table top (Hope that works). This is going to be a learning experience for me. Thanks again!

Hello from Canada Zack. I want to send you a thank you for the GREAT video. I know this was 3 years ago, and you were just new to KZread but I have to say that you did an amazing job of explaining your process. Also your volume and music was not OVERPOWERING like so many other creators videos. The build was very easy to follow. And your plans are simple and clear, and adding in the part where you show the best way to maximize your 2x4’s was a very considerate addition. I took bits and pieces from your plans and made it my own. And that was the BEST part of this design, a very solid simple design that can be expanded on. MUCH APPRECIATED.

You handled the volume of the music well. I could hear everything you said because its volume dropped while you were speaking. It isn’t my kind of tune but if it really got to me I can turn off the volume altogether and turn on captions. Just finished fabricating a new fence for my saw. I will probably make this station in the future. I am an ‘over 60’ grandma and am finishing up building an addition for my laundry room.

Thanks for the video and the plans. I just finished my mitre saw table and next up is the latching modular workbenches. That will be my project for this weekend. On the mitre saw table, I had to put adjustable legs on mine since the garage floor is uneven and I used sanded plywood for my tops and fence. I then put paste finishing wax on the whole thing and I like the way it turned out. Thanks again for the video and plans.

Stumbled upon your video when looking for something to watch while eating lunch. It was entertaining, even though I don't need a bench. In fact, I built something similar for my shop. The reason for the comment, though, is about that old Ryobi table saw there in the back. I have one of those, too, although it is no longer in use. I think I bought mine in 1994! It was OK in it's day and I built a lot of cabinets with it.

Just found your channel and you've definitely got the camera and editing skills. I think I may do a modified version of this. I'm thinking the base for the saw will get its own legs, the sides will have the rockler step casters, and use the toggle latches like on your modular assembly table build. This way they can serve multiple purposes. Sometimes I just need that bit more assembly room! Also nice to see someone finally build something at a reasonable work height. I'm 6'5" and feel your pain with all of the kitchen counter height stuff. My 42" tall saw horses always annoy my Father In Law.

I like your table(s). Pretty much what I want to build so will follow your plans. You mentioned that you got some rough edges from the circular saw when cutting the melamine faced board. That's probably because you have to turn the board upside down so that the circular sawblade cuts into the melamine not out of it, giving break out.
