Ici bateau me rappelle les vieux chalutiers dans les ports quand j’étais jeune. Beaucoup de souvenirs. Il est réussi,la patine de vieillissement est très belle. Encore une fois un excellent travail, Bravo 👏🏼🙏👍

A great video to start 2023, this is going to be brilliant, the little boat could be in lots of dioramas, a big shark creeping up behind it, or an octopus, wth it's tentacles coming up both sides of the boat, or an old ww2 sea mine floating past , can't wait to see the finished diorama Keep up the great work

A really lovely little model Thomas. I spent many months a few years ago building a French Tunny boat from a well known Danish wooden kit manufacturer. The kit was frankly terrible and instructions almost non useable. There was very little information on the internet as they had faded into obscurity after WW1. A few exist to day. But I made the best of it by making my own sails from very old pillow covers and staining with tea & coffee. On a 1956 Singer sewing machine bequeathed to me by an aunt, I sewed the panel lines. Every plank needed to be sanded to a square edge before use, so I needed to make a squaring jig to sand them. For the deck I decided to do something quite labour intensive, considering the deck was to be planked with thin strip wood. I placed a thin sewing thread between each plank strip for tar caulking and thankfully it was a success. I live near a fishing village and about three months after I had finished my boat, I went to buy fish there. As I placed my purchases in the trunk of the car a couple of masts caught my eye. There was a French Tunny boat in the flesh. I was invited on board to have a look. It was saved from dereliction they told me after many years of restoration. My efforts paid off I think as my model was quit close to the real thing and that pleased me. Keep up the good work.

Beautiful job of weathering, and a wonderful job building the boat. I have a lot of experience with scratch building boats. I have two wooden Shrimp Boats that I built totally from scratch using only photographs to guide me.

thats very nice , a tip about the tapes ,if you use the Blue tape that is for masking walls you will get perfect lines because it doesnt absorb the color !

Really cool build. I was thinking as I was looking at the final assembled model that poor boat needs to be put in dry dock for some repairs and some new paint.

Great looking kit! found my first plank on frame kit, look at ordering one soon. Only thing missing for a boat in New England is the "Eat lobstah, wear Grundens" Stickers. LOL
