I used to do a lot of modeling. I started with cars. My favorites are aircraft and spacecraft. The last few months I have been watching a lot of ship building videos. I have yet to do one myself, but I would love to give it a go. It's been very interesting seeing boats and ships from various cultures around the world and throughout history. This is the first boat from the Middle East I have seen. Very nice work! It looks great! The baskets of stores add a lot of character.

Alan, I really admire your work and skills to create something so beautiful. I bow before you. Julius Perdana does the same but with airplanes. You guys are gifted.

THIS KIND OF BOAT ONLY USED IN PERSIAN GULF AND THERE MANY VARIETIES OF THIS DHOW AND CALLING ARAB IS NOT ACCURATE SINCE IS USED BY EVERY BODY IN THE PERSIAN GULF. I USED TO BUILT MODEL BOATS. NICE WORK.

Make one r/c next time. Can't you just see it, at the transmitter helm of a nicely trimmed muti-masted rig. I'd be great.

When I was deployed to the gulf on a navy ship, we would get shot at by people from these dhow's in the middle of the night, they were blind shots and could hear them ping off the side of the metal ship. There would be huge groups of dhows out in the middle of the water.

Contact Cement. Remains flexible after cure and is an ideal shoe glue.
