looks good, that is what I want to build but need to find a donor axel. had one similar in az and we used it for wood, water tanks and ELK. the winch idea is great because one guy is not loading a elk up.

I think it looks great. I'm looking for the same effect. What I'd like to know is how it tracks. And how it backs. Would you change the distance from axle to ball? And have you seen any affects of ball height to deck height?

Like anything with a short tongue it doesn’t back the greatest but my goal was to keep it compact so I wouldn’t make it any longer. It’s very manageable. No issues with tracking. Only road about 15 mph though. Haven’t had any wood in it yet but it does haul leaves better than expected given the 5” gaps on the rails.
