This is good because too many KZreadrs claim that their birdhouse is simple to build but they’re using many complicated and expensive power tools. This seems realistic to the average homeowner.

Forced to embark on a treacherous voyage to uncover rare and archaic hand tools, or wait for the inevitable passing of our elders to inherit their ancient relics. The lengths we must go to follow this simple tutorial.

I have a question can make an updated version with the roof with the same sides on the top left and right 29:16 45* cut (hand tools) with only dowel pins I see how that do it with the miter saw but have not seen anybody to do it with hand saw wish Amish had youtube channel lol but if you can do it let me know thanks

Great instructional video. One suggestion- don't use paints on birdhouses. The paint as pretty as it is to us can be a danger to birds. Also, allowing them to weather naturally, allows them to blend into their environment and give the baby birds better protection from preditors.

Unfortunately some of the tools have been discontinued 50 years ago.

But they are readily available and cheap to buy secondhand.
