Build a Toolbox for Hand Tools

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Welcome back to the Northland Workshop! In this video Iain shows how to build a tool box to store hand tools based on Paul Seller's traveling joiner's tool box. Because this tool box is designed to house hand tools Iain uses many hand tools in the construction of this box. This was a fun project involving dovetails, mortise and tenon joints, dados and grooves and raised panels all done with hand tools!

Also: maybe do a video of what’s in your toolbelt. I wear a similar one in my shop

Hi I dig your videos always watch them. I have a dw1501 that is not starting it worked till after I replaced the bearings it does not start unles I give the blade a spin. I would like to know if you know what size capacitor the machine uses as the that is in it is 20uf and the motor is a 1.45 kw on p1 and 1.1kw on p2. I also replaced the capacitor with a new one and the motor still does not start.

34:00 nothing beats my mortise chisels. I know Sellers do without them but… I am only me.

Sometimes I think he takes the “minimal tool set” thing to an extreme. He also uses the #4 plane for just about everything. Granted I tend to go towards the other extreme of “I’ve never met a tool I didn’t want 5 of” end of the spectrum. But I do believe that every woodworker should have at least one mortise chisel.

Putting the drawer runners in was the last thing I did before painting it. I figured nobody wanted to watch me paint it.
