I just watched Bugsy Malone for the first time since I was a child. This time with my kids! It brought back so many memories. Thanks so much for uploading this. The actors subsequent lives and the happiness they all seem to have really adds to the experience. Was sad to hear of the passing of Martin Lev.

There hasn't been another musical like it and I don't think there ever will be. It's a classic and I was so great full that I did it in school in year 8 2010.

This was a great documentary, but I feel bothered with how they spoke about Martin Lev (Dandy Dan). If anything this should be dedicated to his memory yet the narrator only mentioned him for no more than 10 seconds. The rest of the cast should have at least said a few words to remember him. Instead nothing. Sad.

This is an edit of what must have been hundreds of hours of raw footage. Undoubtedly the interviewees talked about him. It just wasn't included. Production decision.

Yeah, Louise English played a ballet dancer in this then she went on to become a globally acclaimed mainstay in the Benny Hill Show then became a success in the theatre, she is a real success story from this film. I wonder why the producers never bothered mentioning/inviting her for this reunion and bigged up Jodie Fosters grim roles instead?

I agree that Martin should have been mentioned more. He was one of the main characters and best characters. I would like to know more about when the other actors worked with him and if they got along with him. It's so sad that he passed away so young. I wonder if there was much help for M.E back then or if there is now?.

Haven't seen this movie in over 30 years. Just watched this documentary and I remember every word to every song. I remember as a kid I thought the film was very special but for some reason I thought the kids were very young kids, like 9 or 10. I now realize they're preteen and teen. Love love this movie.

i was choked up and close to tears when i heard about Martin lev (*who played Fat Sams enemy Dandy Dan*), he took his own life because of the horrific illness M.E(*aka Chronic Fatigue Syndrome*),i love bugsy malone and Martin was so superb in it, ive suffered from M.E. for over a decade and i can understand why people commit suicide with this debilitating illness and my heart goes out to him and his family, he'l be forever immortalised on film as the Gangster Dandy Dan, a wonderful performance!

As a child of the 70's and early 80's about average 9-13 years younger than these actors in the movie, I watched this movie every chance I could when it was in heavy rotation on television and cable in the late 70's & early 80's and I was absolutely enthralled seeing young kids act adult, the pedal cars, the music etc. I just watched the whole movie again after many decades now in December 2022 as it available for free to watch for Amazon prime members here in the States this month. I have been reading all the comments here on youtube for all 5 parts of this movie cast reunion, and have seen many calls for them to do a remake of this and I disagree. I think they made and cast this movie to perfection and feel in today's day & age, a remake would be something completely different than intended and diminish & ruin the spirit of this masterpiece of Alan Parker. I am perfectly content with Bugsy Malone just being the unique movie it is in a class off it's own for each new generation to discover and appreciate.

I remember going to see this at Leicester Square up in London's West End with my cousin. We both laughed so much and were totally enraptured by the film. There's not been anything to equal it since. Personally, I believe that there are not enough superlatives to describe just how good Bugsy Malone is. Thank you so much for posting this up.

I was 10 and since watching the film 44 years ago, i have been a Bugsy, (just tip my toe in but never fully commit unless there was no choice and everybody trusts me, I made sure of that, from the baddest to the good. I never realised how much this film actually influenced and affected me. Not even watching it last night, these sets of clips have been so enjoyable, just like the film was on my friends birthday. It was like a question being answered.

For me, both he and Jodie Foster were head and shoulders above everyone else acting-wise. Don't get me wrong, the others were great - but Jodie and Martin's performances had that little something extra; you kinda forgot they were kids because they were naturals. RIP Martin, you'll always be remembered thanks to the excellent Bugsy Malone.

I would have gone to the cinema to see it probably even if it took as my dad worked in the fields is in order my family worked in the theatre but I saw this film at 5 years old maybe a bit young I hate is on BBC 2 and since then I've seen this film over I'll tell you now over 100 times everytime I see ya sorry last week I saw the whole film last week and I never get tired of it I love this film I love the characters and it's true there are never be a film made like this is now a day is a good too many words that they use in America the too worried about putting a gun in a child's hand even if it's a toy. Best film ever, nothing comes close to Bugzy Malone.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Try again. I speak into a microphone and from London, therefore, I speak where to create a fairly quickly, and now I have to speak for me for the microphone, pick up anyway, my dad, my family was in theaters, no, I saw this much 5 years old, ball, 1975, however, my brother, my sister, 15 years old me would have definitely seen this, however, I wish I had been around and old enough to seen this since I saw it, when I searched 5 years old, may be a bit young, but then I go into extremely more gangster films, not because this film oh my God I can't my dad used to work in the theatre and took over the world with the stars. I guess you could say the role of the house was my first playground, always somewhere I forgot I knew I'd be safe. Nowadays, it's not the same, this is so many people passed away, including my mom, my dad, my stuff, a mini family. However, I would never take those days away, even though I was gonna for a lot of hell and a lot of trauma. I won't particular person who is a bully. But in the end, I can definitely say I'm stand here and say I'm not for him who gave me a trauma. Bah. This film I've seen over 100 times. ,💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 LOVE BUGZY MALONE

When this movie came out, my mum was running a small movie theatre in an even smaller town. As a promo for the movie, Mum organised cars, costumes, cream pies and kids. My sister and I, and some other kids who helped out or hung out at the theatre. We went up the main street, girls in the cars and boys walking behind with their splurge guns. We stopped outside a bookstore (that was selling the books) went in and cream pied the counter. Then we ran away and went back down the street to the theatre. It was so much fun!

Wow! I just watched all five parts and had chills the entire time. This absolutely has never left me!. Talk about a well done movie.. plus I love the honesty!! Not just the good but especially the bad. Rarely will you see people admit the faults of the finished edited movie like the singing * that was God awful! I'm glad I was not the only one cuz I can be pretty critical sometimes and when Scott baio goes from singing with this deep voice into this high-pitched Minnie mouse voice or I remember sitting in the theater and watching Jodie Foster's voice go to this horrible high-pitched voice and especially the piano player voice that did not match him at all!.. to me those are still bad stains on an awesome film. Film was definitely not perfect. But it was amazing.. few films give me chills when I watch little documentaries afterwards. Wow wow wow wow

I met Martin Lev, as he carried his guitar case outside the Questors Theatre in Ealing, this would have been sometime in the mid 1980s... He was a really nice guy, he was actually the president on the board of the charity that dealt with the illness he was afflicted with. I wish he had toughed it out, but I guess its easy to say that when you're not dealing with it yourself. I am sure he would have been on our screens now.

Checked this out from the local library and watched it last night with my kids. They laughed out loud at a few things (which is saying something considering the digital age we live in). But none of us really got the ending because nobody died of cream puffs. One of the parts (Razzamataz) was also played by a fellow by the name of Michael Jackson, but it turns out it's a different person. Jody does a fantastic job in this film.

Should have had the decency to interview the central Black characters (Leroy Smith & the little brother who cleaned the 'Joint' and tap-danced with the broom). Fat Sam was brilliant & why he didn't end up with a great movie Career (Sopranos, Good-fellas, Donny Brasco etc) is Hollywood's and the public's loss. Scot & Jodie were a class act even then.

I wish they could've gotten in touch with Paul Murphy aka Leroy Smith. He was definitely one of my favourite characters in the movie and I'd have loved to see him reunited with the gang.

I loved this movie when I was a kid. We even got to watch it in school. But I admit the dubbed singing bothered me then and it still does. I wish they had let the kids sing for themselves. Oh well... the songs are still good though....very catchy and memorable. Never been another film like it before or since.

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering what had happened to Cassisi. He was great in the film and terrific on the short-lived tv show "Fish." I'm glad he's okay and happy. It was sad to learn about the fate of Martin Lev.
