In one HUGE episode, we are modifying this stock D16 powered EK civic with a turbo kit we bought cheap off the internet... And that's the end of modifying Civic's forever.... or is it?
More on the cost of the build here: • How much does it cost ...

Here is a tip -don't add too much timing in the D16 over stock I have built and turboed a handfull of these on my channel and I have learnt the hard way dont increase the timing much the stock d16 can handle 12-14 psi forever as long as you dont pump the timing , otherwise it will lift the head

Videos like these bring back many memories of the golden age of 90's imports. I remember my father and uncles, all having to work with what they had, little money and limited resources to put together something that would run and be fun to drive. It's still amazing to see how these older nuggets are still going and people still modify them.

I can’t believe how long I’ve been watching mcm, I still get so excited for the new videos every time.
Marty. Love seeing, and hearing the excitement in your voice, hearing the Civic turn over and fire. Such pure emotion, that made me feel the same. It reminded me of a special moment in my life. The day my daughter wanted to talk adoption with me and her mom. First time she called me Dad. That's exactly how I fealt. Thank you. After the last 3 years of struggle to get as close to what my life was in 2019, after an above knee amputation. Followed by 9 months sleeping in our truck, at a local truck stop. You and Moog kept us driven to keep going, keep moving forward, and to not give up. We turned it around, and are still climbing out, but we are not at the bottom. And getting a little closer to the top every day. Including getting back on the dirt bike, and turning the project Suzuki Savage into a cafe racer. Would love to start on the van, but we still owe on it, and I haven't really learned its personality yet. Would love to see a perfornace panel truck type build. From the frozen northeast of the US, thank you.
Marty and Moog are the best, watching since the driveways days

Whoa!!!! That black eg hatch build was the absolute best civic build... that build let me know this channel was truly special and full of the greatest humor any automotive channel can give us
One of my fave yt channels of all time the quality and well delivered content is just amazing 👏
People should post long form videos like this more often. I love seeing the entire build come together in one episode that isn't just a 10 minute time lapse and I have also grown tired of watching 20 15 minute episodes for one build. These longer, almost home movie type videos are great and I'd much prefer getting one of these over the other option

Then you're watching it more for the cars than the people building them. If there is decent amount of stuff getting done each episode, then I prefer several episodes to one, because I watch for the cars as much as for the people. Plus it takes time to build stuff, if they film for a week straight and condense it all into one video we miss out on so much. Otherwise the video would have to be 2 hours long. I quit watching Tavarish after his first build took over a year and tens of videos, in which, half the time was spent talking about and recapping several times over,what has been done and what is still left to do. More empty talk than working on cars. On the opposite end, I started watching Cleetus McFarland for the car, but now I don't even care what they are building or repairing, the people on the channel are the real stars and the shenanigans they get up to are just brilliant. Building a cars is just part of it all.
@txma.

@@Renee_R343 I don't really watch content for the people. I did as a kid, but I don't see the need to now. Sure, I'll still watch the creators I liked when I was younger and I'd say I watch them for the people more than the content, but now I'd just rather watch stuff I enjoy than force myself to watch something I don't want to just because I like the creator. It's unhealthy to build parasocial relationships to such an extent where you will watch practically anything so long as it's from a creator you like

Full build in one episode, you guys are too good to us. Thanks for all the hard work everyone puts into your videos! You could do a cheap turbo shootout and get a few different size turbos that fit from like ebay and see which makes the most power at what RPM and which feels the most fun to drive, which sounds the best; and could even compare it to a expensive professionally made turbo.
