Why do I always see mobile artillery firing with the turret sideways (on the 3/9 o' clock)?? Why not fire directly in line with the direction your vehicle is pointing so it minimizes the rocking action?

Probably because a massive cannon going off right next to the glass windscreen might not be ideal. That's just what I think. I don't know though

@@RR-us2kp they have shielding that covers the glass during firing operations and that Barrel is a good distance from the cab but you might be right however I would figure then to swing it around back

Is the range near comparable to Paladin? What's the price compared to something like the towed 155? Look inexpensive

paladin and towed m777 use the same gun and munitions so range is the same
