Brutally Honest Review of Emma Chamberlain's Clothing Line- High Key

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Emma Chamberlain clothing line review! High Key by Emma C is the latest youtuber clothing line, but there's been a scandal with it- there's only size small, and it's pretty expensive. This brutally honest review and try on haul of high key by emma chamberlain on my mid size body type shows how this clothing line works on a curvy body!
❤ OPEN ME!
Hey curvy babes! Today it's time for another brutally honest review. I'm doing a haul, unboxing, and try on of high key by emma chamberlain. This clothing brand only comes in a size small, so trying it on my midsize curvy body was... interesting. That's for sure! What do you think about a clothing line that only carries one size? and what youtuber clothing brand or youtuber store should I try next?

I have ALWAYS struggled with my weight and had problems finding clothes when I was really small and now have trouble finding clothes that fit me! I didn’t make this comment to offended anyone and didn’t think this many people would see it. Thank you to every making positive comments but to those being rude, I love Emma chamberlain she’s literally my favorite KZreadr and I’m not shaming her or the line but MAYBE it should have been all sizes from XXS-XXL or larger.

This video kept getting recommended to me and I kept scrolling past it, but I’m glad I decided to watch it. You threw me for a loop when you said that there was nothing wrong with marketing towards petite girls because most of the time it’s hard for really small people like me to find clothes that fit and instead of getting angry about a clothing line that won’t fit everyone you said it was ok. I agree that it should have been marketed towards petite, and I’m glad you didn’t hate on small or naturally skinny people like I thought when I saw the thumb nail. You’re so kind

kat tari The small clothes that fit me are found in the kids section. Just because the tag says small doesn’t mean it fits. I still have to roll up the size zero jeans because they’re too long but I can’t buy from the younger section because they don’t fit my post puberty frame. Besides most of the time the smaller sizes are nowhere to be found because people like buying their clothes in smaller sizes to make them tighter. My 5’8” friend and I are supposedly like 1 or 2 sizes apart even though she’s 7” taller than me. Bodies come in all different shapes and sizes. Clothes shopping is difficult for all kinds of people.

Like a plus size brand doesn't only sell 1X. That would def super weird. That's why it almost seems like the line was sending a message "if you can't wear this oh well" Bc size small is so specific, like _"we aren't for extra small sizes, we aren't for bigger sizes either, if you don't fit this only size, you don't get to wear my brand. byeee!"_

This is not the same as a plus size clothing line at all. First of all, it is not difficult at all to find a size small kn any store unlike plus size clothing. There is also no stigma around wearing a size small, again, unlike plus size clothing. It wouldn't be bad if it were actually a petite clothing line like where clothing is actually made differently on order to cater to petite sizes i.e. pants are shorter, sleeves are shorter, shoulder straps smaller etc. And it cater to maybe sizes xxs-M. That would be perfectly fine and would be somewhat comparable to a plus size clothing line. What Emma did was just unfair and not at all inclusive for even the average teenage girl which is her demographic.

Or this video came out a while ago so maybe she's included more sizes since then, since I know she's gone up a size or two herself. Sorry I don't have any other solutions. I will say that even though I'm personally a size s/m in pants and a l/xl in shirts (curse you apple body shape!!) I was really surprised that she only went up to a 2xl myself, and that's why I was thinking maybe the clothes ran big. Some clothes run really big ya know? Like I can wear a shirt in a size medium or even small sometimes, if the clothing run big enough so it definitely wouldn't hurt to try it out if she has a good return policy! ??? Actually there aren't enough pale shades out there. YOU don't need a pale shade of foundation, sure, but actually there are many paler women who can't find their shade still. And still, just because in your opinion you don't need something, it doesn't mean it shouldn't exist. Businesses are allowed to create whatever products they want, whether they cater to the majority or the minority. Not that I'm a fan of emma's clothing brand but still. At the end of the day, stop going off on the brands that don't cater to your needs and find the ones that do, because they do actually exist, and there's quite a lot of them too.

Here's the thing, she's not even trying to make a clothing line that caters to more petite people. If she were, I would have no problem with that just as I would have no problem with there being a brand that only carries plus sizes. But just having one size caters to no one but that one size. I generally have to buy xxs-s and 00-0, and most of my clothes are still baggy and oversized. If this were a line for more petite sizes, she would have sizes below a small as well. But putting all that aside, her clothing line is for her fans. If she were a brand specifically only in clothing, then yeah go ahead and cater to certain groups. But she's not. If the line is truly for her fans then she should've had sizing options for everyone.

Naomi Xx exactly. Plus size stores usually have bigger ranges of sizes than anywhere else because they know what it’s like. Why didn’t Emma just add Xs, M, and large? It’s still *small* focused but doesn’t restrict 75% of her audience

Straight Melon because plus sizes are hard to come by. 98% of clothing is already catered to petite and smaller people. most clothing sizes go through xs- xxl if lucky, so plus sized people can’t often buy clothing at regular places. plus sized targeted clothing lines are necessary and hard to come by, small sizes only is not and completely ridiculous

Straight Melon nah that’s not how it works. i’m only a size medium myself, but due to my frame and body type, i’m far too tall to ever fit into a small or extra small properly. a small shirt would fit my long torso like a crop top. i could never buy any of these clothing items because i’m simply too tall for them and that isn’t something that i can help 🤷🏼‍♀️ just like some people genuinely cannot help their weight no matter how hard they try or what they do. so take that “then lose weight” bullshit elsewhere.

As a person who never heard of Emma until now, i can definitely say that for a KZreadr it's a lot more surprising to make a clothing line that caters to only one size since this platform is COMPLETELY reliant on viewers worldwide than seeing a brand make products for people of a certain size/body type. It wasn't a smart choice for her to not make her clothing line size inclusive for many reasons. I can't really form an opinion on her since i don't watch her content, but i think that she should fix this issue quickly before things continue to go down hill for her. Whether it be to make more sizes or marketing the line as a petite clothing, she should really do something about this.
