Its something new and that's why we're addicted. I worry it'll wear off after a few weeks unless things get a bit more rewarding and engaging.

spotting people is almost impossible due to the forced aggressive TAA of this game, it makes everything so blurry and pixelated, its not a settings or hardware issue, ive tried everything, biggest complaint of this game for me, devs please fix.

Just hope this game gets 10% of the patience and trust BSG has had with theirs. Cause it's crazy the amount of shit we let Nikita and his minions get away with and still come back to tarkov. Let's see how this one is in 8 years so we can compare. Looks moderately promising so far...

Level 10 and loving it. They got the foundation correct. As long as they keep building up we are going to have a real treat on our hands.

Do you not feel like there's something lacking with weapon variety? And with a supposedly PvE centric game, do you not find the PvE and questing to be a bit... Monotonous?

⁠agree with the guns part. AR's should be more expensive/rare. The quests aren't that bad i feel like, they kinda force you to explore other area, and i enjoy that. But i have to admit that some of the quests are pretty boring and annoying, just pass through that and keep goin. im lv10 now and i still got a lot of area that haven't explore

you deserve way more views man, you have been putting out content for a long time, and its always to the point and thorough.

I have about 30 hours in the game as of yesterday. I’ve noticed that 7.62 has some hit issues but the moment I switch to an AKM it was bliss. Personally the lack of economy is tough to get around but Tarkov was the same back when it first came out. Pvp has actually been quite refreshing since I don’t have to grind dozens of hours just to get half decent gear (while gear is limited atm the point remains). Following quests and spending a little extra time stacking bodies goes a long way when obtaining XP. Performance is a little rough but it’s early access and if anyone went into the game thinking this would be smooth, then that’s a “you” issue. They will iron out the problems over updates and patches.

The 5.45 AKs are also pretty nice, just wait until you get the good ammo is all

Doesn't the 30 or 40 series cards have an independent streaming processor? I don't think the game would change streaming performance.

100% agree with ya on Loot. The game feels so static. I'm not a Tarkov player. I used to play a lot of The Cycle and that game had a lot of loot of all sorts and a lot of it was actually useful for crafting and such.

dlss actually works for you? when i turn it on it get lower frames then with it off

I've got just shy of 30 hours as of now, I'm level 8 almost 9, and I agree with a lot of the points you brought up, (FPS) I've got a 1660 super and a ryzen 5 3600 and with everything on low I average 30-40 fps, until I use a scope, then I'm getting 10-15 fps and whilst that's still better than I get on streets of tarky using a scope, it's still rough. The game feels a bit repetitive, there isn't much to loot outside of food and meds and fighting AI gets a bit old rather fast, especially if you've not reached the tasks that take you outside your factions town, but even once you do get to the tasks that take you further outside the map I'm only running into like 2-3 players that aren't in my faction and they are either about to die to AI or I shoot them whilst there fighting AI. All in all, there is a list of stuff to fix and make better, big and small but I'm going to continue playing it, because hopefully we will get tasks to go into the centre of the map where red ovals are and we'll get a lot more pvp in those areas.

What do you think about the shared progress in PVE and PvEvP? That kills the game for me.

@@concretel10n It changes the way people play the game. most of them go loot and quest in pve soon and just fuck up in pvp. so it will be no fun and even more harder to play normal in pvp.

2070super turn FSR on quality with frame gen on. Most settings on low and you will get 80 plus fps at 1440p. Seems to run good if the server isn't cooked. Give it at least until after your first chopper ride for stutter to carlm down as shaders load.

they should have an armoured train around the map.....

This is just the pre-alpha..its stable if we compare it to some beta's desync bugs..

Pretty spot on. I’m only level 5 so it hasn’t hit me yet as far as being repetitive

Honestly the first town is great, its got enough room for people to do things. Later on all the hubs (Ban Pa, YBL-1, Sawmill etc) get really small so you end up having to wait for respawns ALOT.

I know its early but im kinda meh on the game. Its go some ways to go. for a raid that has no time limit it feels like you are constantly getting the heli. You get a few together but most of the time its 1 mission, Fly to here, collect 1 item, fly back. 6 hours of gameplay 5 of which are on the heli. It doesn't have that feel of loss. Tarkov gives you that adrenaline push from knowing there are stakes. I see far to many people running off with a knife to collect their gear. Its a bit boring and repetitive. but it may change in the future

I definitely agree the stakes need to be higher. No risk Vs reward at the moment. It's potentially because we get very good gear from the offset and with every quest. Meaning there's no need to buy more gear so money just stacks up as a failsafe.

Id say Tarkov gives you the feeling that you lost you gear not due to skill but due to gear. That is not a good feeling. That is an issue I have always had with the game. I would put its repetitive level on the same as tarkovs. Tarkov has all this loot but until the hideouts came you had nothing to do with it but sell. Then you had all these options to buy but 95% is garbage you would never buy so its an illusion. Also leaving a raid and joining takes way to long. And the exfils are not on the map, which is just false difficulty. Its adding something to make the game "hardcore" when its just stupid. I am an elite man, how do i not have a map and know my exfil? lol I enjoy tarkov but Gray Zone is already done some of it better, and other parts a a little behind but its a week in to EA.

@@kargion if it was all up to sheer skill, there wouldn't be a need for any weapon variety. Just the best weapons all the time with no recoil. I'd find that pretty damn boring. That's also not what this game is about.

I get consistent 150 frames with my 4070 with graphics set medium and high.

I have almost 80h and i must say after the hot fix 3 the ai is so broken. Ive helped many people early on and they just said il refund the game because the ai is just too busted. I must agree, before the hot fix 3 the ai at the start town was a little easy but thats how it should be when you start a new game so people can get a hang of the mechanics and then go to the other places where the ai is harder but know every ai is a terminator with a crossover from john wick and chuck norris. If they dont fix this they will have a huge problem with keeping players in the game.

"Tarkov, but DayZ style". Well, i kinda started to play Tarkov in 2016 exactly because it cut Arma/dayZ bullshit and left us only with adrenaline filled shootouts. What a simpler time that was XD Gray Zone Warfare gives me strong Arma OA and 3 with epoch mod. Like, shops+missions on the map that bring players in one spot. And aesthetics of jungle warfare is not my cup of tea... basicaly, what I trying to say, it's not really replacement for tarkov we hoped for imho.

I can see the Epoch style working well in GZW to be honest. Dynamic missions would be good, and I'm fairly certain they're adding these in the future. With the "DayZ style" comment, it's more to do with the server structure being a persistent world.

It's pretty much arma 3 king of the hill but with good graphics.

I'm not playing anymore of this crap untill they fix their retarded aimbot AI who shoots through soft or hardcover while having no sight on you. It's so ridiculous honestly, the whole game is about shooting hostiles and they can't even do that right. So you'll keep losing inexpendable gear due to bs aimbot deaths and game crashes with no way to sell loot to earn money... Only dumb task payouts keep the non lucrative grind alive, you got to have 12 perfect runs to make up for dying ONE TIME! Total garbage at the moment unfortunately...

This isn't Tarkov, Bro. The game is leaps and bounds beyond other pre-alpha games. The designers already said there is only 30% of what will be in the game that is in the game. It will cook, this isn't a finished product. How long has Tarkov been out now? Oh, how much does it cost now... 250.00? The people who like this type of game enjoy milsim. They enjoy taking their time and playing slowly. Tarkov is a dopamine hit, but filled with endless bugs, 10 minute waiting in lobbies, disconnects, rubberbanding, this is all after 7 years of development. Give it time. If it's not for you and you wanna play fps crackhead simulator, Tarkov, COD, and Battlefield are perfect for you.

Trust me when I say this style of game IS for me. In all seriousness, I'm a slow Tarkov player. I enjoy the hunt. The only reason I'm mentioning Tarkov is because of the huge similarities and I'm trying to understand what makes Tarkov great and apply it to GZW. I don't want all that running around, jiggle peak chad stuff. I just want a bit of gun balance, exploration and maybe some more engaging quests.

Not to mention the cheaters. I can just play PVE in GZW and cheaters have little to no impact on my gameplay. In EFT you question every time you die.

Sorry but im not trynna play a modern mil sim as a pmc and use dog shit aks for the first 30 hours of gameplay before i can get my hands on a half decent weapon system. Hated that about tarkov, grinding to lvl 2 or 3 traders to finally be able to buy good weapons and attachments and oh, im already tired of playing the game because this took 40-50 hours of game time. Nice. Theyve already said theyre going to be adding a lot more weapons and attachments in the future and the only way for this game to go is up. Saying the tasks are worse than tarkov is kinda funny because tarkov is literally the same. Every quest is a fetch quest, mark these things quest, kill these people quest, blah blah blah. This was kind of a moot point to make, tarkov has almost 8 years and the quests are all still boring and monotonous. Nobody likes setup, nobody likes killing scavs with a silenced shotgun from 50m, or wearing some dumbass hat and sunglasses and killing 30 of these people. Yall know what im talking about, and yall know it fkn blows.

i spend 90 hours in that shitty game... yes the core is nice fun and cool but in fact bots are aimbot and its not fun. it doesnt feel fair for solo players they hit you every time trough wall trough everything they buy a AI pack and put them there with hardcore skills... im tired of waiting for bot to respawn, helico waiting... losing my kit for no sens...crash , rubber banding.... i'm just done i think we have not try the same game... the core is good but other that this i uninstall and will wait 1 or 2 years...

It's mega early. Apparently only 30% of the content is in already. I'm just here giving feedback so they make a great game for us to enjoy for years down the line.

Not much to do I was bored after 30 minutes. I feel like the game lacks purpose. The AI death animation is laughable. Fps is all over the place on 7900xtx It can be near 200 fps then dip to the 40's out of nowhere while using FSR.

Understandable. I think, playing with a squad makes it a bit more enjoyable, but I don't know if that's the company you're with or the game itself. Either way, I'm confident they're working towards a more engaging product.
