My tip in tactical movement, use ctrl + mousewheel scroll up/down. This will take you from standing to crouched position or from crouched to standing, in small increments. This is a good way to adapt your positioning behind cover as well as during tactical movement.

They aren’t trying to take over Tarkov, they did without trying. Tarkov has been a shit game in my eyes for pretty much ever. I tried so hard to try and like it multiple times over the years. This game won my heart almost instantly.

Same here. I hopped on the afternoon of the launch "EST" and soon as I got the general mechanics and just of the game I was hooked. It's got so much potential and seems to be slowly moving in the right direction. Obviously has some personal gripes for me but it's minimal.

This game is a mess at this point just as tarkov. The difference is time. This game CAN become better in a couple of years (and I would like that to happen) But there is no guarantee it isn't the same ponzi scheme as BSG.

For Tarkov, I actually brought the EOD edition only to get a slap in the face with their unheard edition. Greed has taken over them so I will not be playing Tarkov anymore.

Exactly... I'm hating the Tarkov comparisons. I don't want to play Tarkov style games. I'm burnt out from Tarkov. I want to take my time, play slowly, and not rush with a bunch of teenagers to get the latest Metta builds. That's ridiculous, and most of us have jobs, wives, and other responsibilities. Gray Zone is relaxing and exactly what I was hoping it would be.

This is exactly how tarkov was before it blew up full of cod sweats in the 2018 beta release. It used to be nice and methodical, tactical. They ruined the game catering to streamers and sweats. This is basically a dayz map with helicopters and everything else stripped from eft down to menus and functionality. It’s very comparable 😂

grayzone is so forgiving compared to tarkov, you can definitely run and gun!

I feel like the hype surrounding this game is in spite of the tarkov drama, they are not comparable, this game to me feels like most other milsims just on a newer engine with a quest line and traders, obviously it would be unfair to criticise its current state/bugs/optimization but after having played a fair few hours i quickly feel like there isnt anything being achieved, no real penalty for dying other than a very noisy chopper ride to get back to your body with some headless naked dude sat next to you, the machanics/ads/running ect feel similar to a few free to play games ive tried. If you dont like tarkov then this might be more of a game for you especially is you like dayz/arma and more milsim type games in general as eft is a completely different experience, eft is a hardcore extraction shooter and there is no other game like it, i think in the near future there will be a lot of people unhappy with GZW that they thought it would be a competitor to EFT just like how scum was to be the dayz killer but quickly realised it was a completely different concept.

is there a specific server i should be choosing? cause im choosing us west (my loc) and im rubber banding like CRAZY, game still barely playable tho. idk if its my internet, cause its typically shit, or if its because servers are overloaded

The main thing I'm not figuring out is tweaking the graphics settings to better see people in a building from the outside Or making sense of the bushes for all that matters

They did a lot of accurate stuff eith gear but the fact that they made steel plates better than ceramic os hilarious to me. IRL lvl4 plates are ceramic or a composite material and designed for multiple hits. Steel is never a good choice for personal armor.

@@OfficialInvictus the ability of antispall coatings is still up for debate unfortunately. Steel is just not a good choice for personal armor due to the fragmentation issue and weight. Plus you'd need a considerable thick piece of steel to stop larger AP calibers, vs a standard ceramic lvl 4 will stop up to 30-06 AP. Obviously you'd be having a seriously bad day regardless but we are just talking sheer stopping ability. I could go on but end of the day I just thought it was silly oversight on there end given all the other incredibly accurate things they did with gear like proper mounts for specific suppressors etc.

The problem is that same faction players will kill and loot you as well in warzone mode, without any penalty. At this point in the game, factions don't make sense.

Tends to stutter a lot in the beginning but then it gets better. I'm getting over 100 FPS most of the time with DLSS on. What is your system specs?

I have a 7600x a 7800xt and 32 gb of ram and it runs fine at 1440p. I limitted frame rate to 60 fps as i was bouncing between 80 and 130 with medium settings and would rather have consistency than Max fps with your step up in power you should be good though i really dont know how much of a perf hit 4k is

@jamesabbott6425 Thank you for your advice. I do play all games at native 4K with Max settings without any RayTracing or FSR just to see how they behave and run. And so far, most games have been running really well at over 70 FPS minimum and up to over 200 FPS. I'm hesitating on this Gray Zone Warfare game. Cause it's in Early Access, and i fear that the devs could just abandon it like that and get away with the money from people. I currently have 201 Games on Steam, and not a single one is an Early Access game. They're all full games. I just have a trust issue with Early Access, i guess.

Step 1 get a 40 series

This game runs like crap unfortunately and the constant crashes that cause you to lose your gear is rough. Concept is solid though.

Had the same issues until i turned off nVIDIA Overlay and Steam Overlay. No more crashes. Also use FSR instead of DLSS if using nVIDIA series 3000 or older cause DLSS have issues right now. Its by no means perfect with this but it will run good enough to have fun.

@@camogsxr1745 Yes and you can even reuse the same name. It's on the starting screen. Something like wipe character or something. Oh and since your new to this style, make sure to check dead peoples body inventory. Your likely to find guns and stuff. And if you return to your dead body, you can retrieve your stuff if noone else gets there first.(assuming you died by a scav and not a real person)

My game barely loads. If it loads at all it puts me in the lobby for thirty seconds before kicking me out because of an anticheat runtime error. When it doesn't load in, it'll kick me to the main menu with a server disconnect error. I allowed it in the defender firewall I uninstalled it and reinstalled once and had all the same issues.
