Every bit of his 'research' for his shows is Meltzer. Meltzer would write, Meltzer wrote, or ‘in The Observer’. Good lord he has no other bit of info, which must hurt the uber mark. Every time Bruce rips into Meltzer, a little bit of milk leaks out of Conrad.

I think Bruce is off a bit. Bret's first try at a singles run was 1990. The Rougeaus weren't around then. Not as a team anyway.

All the promoters read all the dirt sheets, they needed to know about the rumours after all. Some newsletter writers were popular with the promoters even, like the legendary Georgiann Makropoulos.

It’s a common tripe to discredit criticism. For years on end athletes have dismissed sports media and what they say about them as guys who can’t speak on something since they never played professionally. But nowadays that more and more former players get into media when they’re done playing the current athlete are just as upset when they’re criticized.

Conrad has been corrupted by Pritchard and Bischoff and the other's.. He's letting Bruce bury Dave unfairly. Conrad used to push back. Now he's one of them.

Conrad still adores Meltzer. The reason why he doesn't even bother defending Melzter is because he will never change their minds but also, the other podcasts that he runs with different people, like the Kurt Angle podcast, pretty much proved Prichard and Bischoff's points about Meltzer. Kurt Angle had on Billy Corgan and Corgan confirmed everything that they said about Meltzer being biased and not contacting people directly for confirmation of his stores, even when Meltzer has their contact info. Melzter never once contacted Corgan at any point when writing about the NWA, and they've spoken before Corgan took over the NWA. Corgan is not a carny like Prichard is. There's no excuse for not contacting him.

It’s funny how in a comment section depending on how people think of people what claims they’ll go with. This person says Conrad backed down to them and now lets Dave be unfairly buried while 99% of everyone else claim that he worships meltzer. A prime example of how sometimes whatever you actually do that you won’t win because people will decide what you are however they want to no matter what you actually do.
