Conrad has said about a billion times that he uses the observer to guide the discussion because it is the best resource that compiles all the events and rumors of the events that took place at the time in one place and that if people can provide a different resource that accomplishes the same thing to use on the show, compiling all of those things that you find in the observer at the time that he’d be happy to use that instead. But nobody has yet to provide the replacement for him to use, instead they take your direction and just whine about it. Hopefully you can provide such a resource since it’s such a bother for you? If you can’t then that should easily explain to you why he uses it and maybe you’ll stop whining about it.

Shawn Michaels is an incredible athlete and performer, but to suggest he's the goat is fn hilarious. You need to look at the big picture. Curt Hennig and Randy Savage hit the mark on every tangible and intangible. Michaels is kind of a weak promo and a TERRIBLE Babyface

@@asoncalledvoonch2210No, he wasn’t. As soon as disappeared from WWF TV in April 1998 the company began it’s biggest boom of all-time. Literally 2 weeks after he disappeared the WWF broke the WCW’s 83 week winning streak. Steve Austin was the goat. Not Shawn. The WWF was in the toilet in 1996 with Shawn as champion. The Rock was far closer to GOAT than Shawn ever was.

But there's no denying his in rong ability and talent from 1994 - 1998. Even from 2002 to 2012 at 60% and as a Christian, he was better than 99% of the wrestlers throughout history .

It’s been about 7 years now and nobody has provided that; so maybe you have it? If you don’t then maybe use your thinking cap and recognize that shows why it’s used snd stop being a hater. The only difference would have been instead of faking a back injury in January of 1997 Michaels would be coming out on Nitro drugged out of his mind cutting incoherent promos while spiraling further downward. Eventually Michaels ego would have gotten him fired from WCW, or got his ass beat by Steiner, DDP or Savage and he would have quit and crawled back to the WWF whee Vince would now hold a grudge and bury him each week.

Because Vince was convinced Shawn was the legit megastar of the 90's. When you hear enough about Vince's thought process you can kind of put it together. Where Hogan was the same mold of 80's action stars and comic book heroes, Michaels was essentially Axl Rose crossed with a bit of Jean Claude Van Damme. Vince just didn't forsee the direction culture was going to go post 1993 and the full embracing of anti-heroes like Austin.

Nah man! You’re nuts if you think that’s why SCSA took off like a missile. There was a huge change in culture at the time across America. The hokey “Mayberry” idea of good guys smile and all that jazz, had been burned off and there was a desire for the cartoonish old WWF format of wrestling to go away. People had tired of Hogan and knew he was a liar about his use of steroids and both Michaels and Hart were basically working gimmicks that carried on that tradition of what a bad guy or good guy was. Austin brought a real feeling of being a true everyday person to the ring. There was no more white cowboy hats vs black cowboy hats in day-to-day life for anyone. That’s why Austin got over. And he could wrestle or fight. Hart and HBK could only wrestle. Obviously HBK couldn’t fight! LOL!
