Wonderful. One wee thing. There were still areas of Scotland that were Catholic, the reformation did not completely wipe out all Catholics. But yes, mostly. Moidart, Ardnamurchan, Barra, South Uist, Glen Urquhart, Strath Peffer, parts of Lochaber, Banffshire, some pockets of Aberdeenshire. There were various areas with a majority Catholic population

Some Celtic fans based in Northampton met a fellow Celt from South uist. He said to them 'not many bluenoses where I come from!'

@@wonjubhoy the very obvious example is south Uist and Barra and Eriskay. All Catholic islands. Father Allan MacDonald was their famous priest, himself a mainland man from Lochaber, and mother from Badenoch (Kingussie and Newtonmore) in the central Highlands. He was certainly a Catholic and was from the mainland and a Gael.
