The man is a legend. He needs a statue in all seriousness. He kept our club as one club from 1888 unbroken. Paid the bills, done what he had to do, gave us the stadium we all take for granted. He is a ⭐

The wee man did exactly what he said he would do. He saved Celtic and he made money. Nobody does that in football. The man was brilliant throughout.

I've had the privilege of taking my son to celtic park for 17 years of his life and witnessed some tremendous results and memories that will live forever in our heats none of which would have ever been possible without Mr McCann hopefully 1 day there will be a statue of him at parkhead 🍀🍀 unbroken history HH

I cannot understand why Celtic football club have not got a stand named after this wonderful man who saved our club. I would even say a statue in honour of him please fans get behind this thought.

This man saved Celtic and is much a hero as Jock Stein and Brother Walfrid in my book' He was so right the Stadium had to be rebuilt or we would have had nothing. I would like to see some of the new development have a money making part called "The Bunnet" as a fitting tribute. He will always be remembered by Celtic fans as the man who saved Celtic.

When common sense was needed and someone who could withstand the pressure of the situation and deliver on their promise, in stepped Fergus. He dragged Celtic from mediocrity and gave us back pride in our club. He never backed down from the Scottish football hierarchy and fought Celtic's corner till the day he bowed out. The new generation of fans should be grateful to this gentleman and should be schooled in what he has done for our club

I remember Michael Kelly, going on about how he is perceived aesthetically, would be a major hurdle to him, (maybe not his exact words, but it is what he meant). Kelly might be right in the sense that despite McCann’s achievements, he is not overburdened by cheer leaders. I know that Jock Stein and the Lisbon Lions is probably the biggest source of pride at Celtic. But possible including the afore mentioned, McCann has achieved the most for the club. The Kelly’s were opportunist compared to him.

What a great great man! How can anyone not love the wee man?

This is the first time have seen this program.fair play to fergus.he had a vision for this great club.And I think we owe this man some respect.

I was lucky as a teen-ager nearly leaving school, When he came. Glorious years were to follow! Wim Jansen! Venglos, Jorge cadetes first game as a sub, And controlling that pass over his head to chip in and send parkhead crazy in the new stand! Seville, Larsson, Burns, Van hooydonk, Di Canio, Johan Mjallby, Weighorst, Geeeez 💦🤤 Stubbs & The Rieper man I could go on and on. But Top of them all was Fergus. Took the club into the future 😊

First time seeing this interview which was good to listen and recall Fergus McCann at that time coming to Scotland and seeing all what he done for Celtic and himself in the process and he done a really great job and wish him all the very best . For me Celtics no 1 fan he is for doing such for the club with his own millions though being business minded he probs knew he was onto a good thing which later proved true as he done very well for the club and himself and then as he said when he arrived i shall stay for 5 yrs not one day before and not one day after when i shall then leave and he did what he said and then flown back to Canada with millions made for himself and getting Celtic a brand new stadium and people in board he Fergus McCann done got guys in who would look after the club and not have such happen which so near did and going bankrupt ..Fergus McCann all Celtic fans salute you take best of care 👍

He is someone the blue half of Glasgow have never had, someone with integrity and foresight . He took a big gamble with his own money and it paid dividends for Celtic as a club and the support. He left a magnificent legacy and Celtic will do well to never forget it.

i was a kid when fergus bought celtic but i have photos of me standing in the directors box during a tour of parkead and the backdrop out the window was a half built stadium that we have just now and take for granted. Celtic supporters should show this guy more appreciaton, it took time to win things but rome wasnt built in a day.

Love him or hate him he will go down in history as THE MAN WHO SAVED GLASGOW CELTIC from bankruptcy in 24 hours! He built a fantastic stadium and the foundations OF WHAT WE HAVE TODAY! And simply the next feasible move for a club of Celtics size is a move to the English leagues! We're too far a big fish in a ever dwindling pond! Wishful thinking I know but if Celtic had to get the revenue of what the English clubs get (And remember Scottish football gets a 10th of what the English leagues get!) we would be a massive,unstoppable force in Europe! A lot has been made about erecting a statue in his honour, but listening to him and his modesty around his own importance, I think a simple bronze bunnet at the top of the front steps or somewhere else appropriate would be marvellous.

Just shows how much Michael Kelly was a scumbag, Playing on the loyalty of the supporters. Sadly when he stopped the 10 in a row the fans booed him, strangely enough there's no one out there with the balls to put their hand up. Brilliant man

Lubo was a gift from god but wee Fergus was also a gift from god. He came in and put in his own money and saved us from certain death. He was vilified when the three amigos left and i have to say i was angry as well but this man stuck to his guns and continued with the plan, he knew better than all of us. Our great stadium is a testament to his drive and ambition. He put Celtic back on the map of world football. The fans need to set up a go fund me to honour this man with a statue.
