Everyone remembers the songs they heard and fell in love with as a kid that, when they listen to as an adult, makes them feel like a kid all over again. My daughter is six, and last week, this became her first experience with falling in love with a song. We listen to tons of music together, and she has a lot of favorite bands and songs. When she heard this for the first time, she asked me, "Why does this song make me feel like I'm floating?" and listened to it at least five times in a row. She's never asked to listen to a song more than once. Thank you so much for creating this moment and memory for me and my daughter, James Mercer and Brian Burton. I'm terminally ill, so every day is far more important and urgent than I could have ever imagined.

We listen to The Shins, Guster, Florence and the Machine, Tool, Nothing But Thieves, tons of 80's music, Billie Eyelash, or whatever her name is, Manchester Orchestra, and AWOLNATION to name a few. I always pull up the lyrics for her, because she loves to sing, and to understand the lyrics. I love that girl more than I could ever even begin to describe.

But the glow of morning comes with small arms fire'. After the dark times comes the light once more, but be prepared to fight for the light, be prepared to fight for the good times, for once you are past the darkness.

This is one of those songs that plays in a detective movie or TV show after they discover some big secret and the plot begins to thicken out

Brian Burton is undeniable. He's one of my favorite artists ever.

I don’t usually comment on songs but this has easily been the best song I’ve ever heard, I’ve listened to it probably over 100 times over the past 3 days I’ve learned of this band (other songs are bangers) every time I listen it’s like I’m listening to it for the first time. This song is genuinely changing my life and makes me enjoy everything like it’s my first time. Good luck is one of those songs that makes you remember how good it is to be alive and appreciate the small things like smiling at strangers or seeing the sun rise in the morning. Truly a masterpiece, thanks Broken Bells.

Is it sad that I really have zero affinity for the Shins, but I love this band? Seriously, from the day I heard Broken Bells I've been infatuated with them. So many good songs, and the albums have great flow, like they were put together intentionally, not just dumping the songs into a bag and pulling 10 or whatnot out at random. You might like "Wincing the Night Away". But I could maybe see how Broken Bells could be a good bridge between the music you tend to favor and what kind of stuff James Mercer is capable of. That said, "Wincing the Night Away" is probably the album that falls closest to what the Shins have that sounds anything like Broken Bells.

This song just got relevant.

This song was presented for me by a girl who i fell in love with. We had a lot in common, including our taste in music. Since then, this masterpiece got into my list of favourites songs of all time. And it's just so good to hear 'cause besides the good feeling that the music brings, i just can feel the love flowing. I really love this song and is heartwhelming to have known it from a girl that i love too.

That's what I thought when I discovered them years ago. Such a gem. Did you know that The singer James Mercer Was also The founder And Singer/songwriter For the band The Shin's back in the late 2,000s? Some pretty good tunes Pink bullets is 1 of my favorites.
