@@missmayx9693 Yeah, the questions are pretty straight forward. I was asked about where I lived and how long I had lived there etc. It's just to ensure that they have all the correct information, you are who you say you are, etc. The passport was sent out so quickly after my approval. :)

Thanks. I didn't realise that there were sooooo many bits to becomming a British Citizen. I thought it was just filling in a form. Really kicking myself for not doing this before the change over and the introduction of the test and the price increase. Yes I have been putting off doing this process for over 15 years. I didn't think it was much of an issue as i rarely traveled and nearly £900 (the old price) was too much.

It’s never too late. You can always start gathering the documents you will need to submit and start your application when you’re ready.

@@TheWooloffs Thanks I am. We live in the UK and have ILR. Me and my mum went to Nigeria and when we tried to come back to the UK with out ILR Letter and new Nigerian Passports (because we got the new passorts just in time for this trip) issued in London we were refused flights. We needed to DHL our older passports to Nigeria with original entry stamps in order to be allowed to enter the UK. Really frightening. So yes, I am looking at your videos and gathering info and documents. It would be great to have everything done by this November as I want to go to Thailand and start travelling more extensively.

Hi! As always great video! Thank for sharing! I’m a bit scared of passport interviews because From my friends experience I know that they can also ask about parents- like the date of marriage ! For me will be difficult to remember all schools in my area because is a lot and also I will have problem to remember all my home address in UK - I have around 14 different.

Hello Katarzyna. I wouldn’t worry about it much. I guess they have ways of telling if an applicant is genuine or not. Give your approximate answer that you can remember. Have you been asked to attend an interview yet?

They sometimes ask your parents birth places and dates of births this is hard if you are african and don't ask your parents these things lol so it's better to find out date of births beforehand cos they might ask you fir any member of ur family

Hi, I just wanted to add to your list of those who do not require passport interview is professional such for instance, I am a qualified Doctor. When I completed my application this year, I was told that I didn't need to attend a passport interview since I was a doctor. I wasn't given the full explanation behind it but through let me share this to go along with your excellent videos :)

I've got a question if someone can help or has been in a similar situation. I've had my citizenship ceremony today and I hold Spanish passport. I have a flight in 4 days time, so I have no time to apply for passport... also, to apply I would need to send my current passport, so I would not be able to travel... same thing applies for the certificate of entitlement, I wouldn't get it in time... My plan is to travel with my Spanish passport and take my certificate of naturalisation with me (I know the certificate it's not valid for travel, my travel document would be my Spanish passport, but I'd use the certificate only to prove I'm British). I am hoping they'll let me come back even if it means waiting longer in the border and having to answer some questions... any advice?

No. I wasn’t asked to go for an interview.

I received my 1st British passport but I’m lucky didn’t get any interview.

Back in 2013 applied for my Uk Passport I was eligiable because of my father. Back then they didn't call me for interview. I sent all my documents in December 2012 February 2013 I got my passport. No interview. Now I'm renewing in november lets see how it goes.

As you said, you were illegible through your father. So of course they wouldn’t interview you. It’s more for those who go through the ILR route.

@@sharonmitchell4915 Eligiable not ineligible but I understand what you mean. I believe I got it at a time when UK didn't have other requirements. I think if I was to apply today I would still get it but they would require me to go and Pledge Allegiance to the Queen (Now King) etc. Back in 2013 I UK has passport office in Washinton DC so i sent all documents there. Now everything has to go to UK. Im going to be renewing my passport in November any tips how to get it back quicker and easier.

Hello. They will contact you if you need to go on an interview. It’s normally through video call. Not everybody who applied had to go to an interview.

Hello. 1. Your referees 2. The main difference is that the spouse can apply for British citizenship as soon as they got their ILR (even on the next day). Those that are not spouse of a British citizen need to wait for 12 months after they got their ILR before they can apply for naturalisation. There are also differences on the documents to submit such as marriage certificates, copy of spouse’s passports etc. but the outcome is the same - British citizenship.

Children under the age of 16 don’t do interview and passport is valid for 5years so if you apply now, the next time would be first adult passport at the age of 19 that time maybe they wil call you for interview

Hello. Just put the correct birthdate this time. Not sure if there is a space in the application form where you can put some explanation. If not, the Passport Office will contact you anyway in case they want to confirm or clarify something.

Being British it's much easier getting a British Passport, you was not Born in Britain. Both of my Parents are British so it's Much easier to get a British Passport. I am getting my new passport I might not need a interview.

I'm at stage ceremony of getting british citizenship and I wonder what document i will receive and can I show it on border check for example going to Poland I want to show my ID card and awarded british citizenship .Applying for passport is more complicated than I thought .Do you need every time to chat when your passport has expired or second time will be much quicker.?I'm going to have online ceremony on the 21 July.

Atfer you finish your british citizenship ceremony you will receive your naturalisation certificate, but you can't use that to travel you must apply for the British Passport

@@rajakhawarmunir7177 you need to phone up and book an interview appointment, mines was on skype and mines ended up being a conversation, they ask standard questions like stuff about yourself and parents but they also ask about your area and random things you wouldn’t be able to lie about as they double check everything you said before approving it.

Just finished my online interview an hour ago.. I was asked: My full name and to spell it out Date of birth Current address and how long I’ve lived here Previous address and how long I lived there (I don’t know how long I lived at previous address) Landlords name (also don’t know, live with parents) Is the property rented or owned What type of house do I live in? (Attached, detached) Siblings date of birth and full names (which I forgot 💀) Parents date of birth and full names What I studied in high school What I studied in college My hobbies Do I work, what do I do? Do my parents work, what do they do? Then we kinda talked about games for a couple minutes and that was it. Took about 10 minutes, hope everything is well for me

Here in Germany you don‘t go to passport interview. You go to the Bürgeramt and ask for a passport. The civil servant needs only the id card + photos and that‘s it. You pay with your credit or deposit card And you are going to collect it four weeks later. I have got one because of the disgusting Brexit.
