Hello. Not always. It depends on the application if the passport office wanted to contact the referee. In my case, they didn’t contact me.

You're talking about referees for a CITIZENSHIP application, this video is about referees for PASSPORT applications, there's a difference.

You can use the same referee.

I only completed my application 30 days ago and I didn’t see the option of sending this to my reference. All it did was asked me to print the form and get signature from. Has something changed since then?

Try to sign in back to check the status of your application and you will see how to send the person's details.

UK or Irish passport when applying from within the UK, when applying from outside the UK and no UK or Irish passport holder is available, a Commonwealth, EU or US passport holder can be used, but it'll take longer.

Hello. They said try logging in on midnight because that’s when they release new slots. Keep checking also in case there are cancellations from other people.

One referee is of any nationality with professional standing. The other one is British passport holder who either has professional standing or is over 25 years old. Your British friend can be your second referee if they are over 25 years old.

Hi unnie, me too holding settlement status and now gathering all the documents needed for a British citizenship(passed already life in the uk and English exam.)one thing is confusing me. After you will receive naturalisation certificate you have to send back BRP.(If fail to send back you will be pay 1,000) its not clear if our BRC(settlement will be send back to. Mine I lost that's why I'm a bit worried and confuse)

You need 5 years of lawful residence in the UK to be able to apply for indefinite leave to remain, which then you must hold for one year after it's granted to become eligible for citizenship.

Contact the British embassy, they'll tell you what to do, provided he actually is a British citizen. Simply being born in the UK is not enough, at least one parent needs to be either a British citizen or hold indefinite leave to remain.
