When you say degree it means only (as example: if you finished university in uk, or if you finished university in italy and you have studied english-italian 3 years and NARIC or ENIC what is called now had accepted your degree done in your country and considered comparable to british bachelor degree standard? Hello. I’m glad that you found a preferable appointment. The website says that you can upload your document before or during your appointment (charges may apply). No you don’t have to. They didn’t need signature when delivered.

Hello. Yes at least B1 level and yes you must pass the life in the uk test. If you already passed life in the uk test and used it for ILR, you can use that again for citizenship application.

Hello. No I was not asked to go for an interview. I think majority of applicants were not asked for interview but there are still some who did. They were only asked for basic questions, just to confirm the information that they put in the application.

Hello. Depending on your local council, sometimes it takes a while for them to send your ceremony invitation letter especially during lockdown. Some people wait for months. Just continue to wait.

I want to ask a question. I submitted the citizenship application for my mum and she has booked her brp appointment. Now I’m quite stressed because I think I might have made a slight mistake on the application. When it asks for “When did you first arrive in the UK?” Is this the very first time you came (for example to visit friends/relatives) or the very first time you came to remain? I hope this isn’t something that will highly affect my application.

It should be the first time under the current category of visa. If you were on 5 year route then you need to use that date.

Hello. The government website says that applications might take up to 6 months to get a decision. I suggest to wait a little bit more. Then contact them if it’s beyond 6 months. Hope they let you know soon.

University degree in English language, But you might well take the B1 now instead of waiting till you pass university cause as it’s a lot quicker to pay £150 and answer a few questions in English at a test sight and get B1 certificate there and then

Hello. Yes, you can still apply. You need to provide a cover letter explaining why you cannot get your current passport renewed. Also, you might need to provide another form of valid ID like driver's license, your BRP card, etc.

Let me just add that if you are married to a British citizen, you can apply after only being in the UK for 3 years, but more importantly, they ask for your work history only from the last 3 years.

Hello. Is it here in the UK you are studying? If yes, you can use your degree certificate (after you graduated in Uk uni) as a proof of knowledge of English language. No need to take English language exam. That’s what I used.

I don’t think you need to take it but you need to double check with solicitor things might have changed But I do know under 18 do not need to take the oath and go ceremony

The processing time will vary. The Home Office published timescale is 6 months. However, just make sure you provide all the required documents and this could possibly speed the process up as they can verify your information quicker.

Hello. In my case, after 5 years under spouse visa, i had to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) visa and as soon as granted, I could immediately apply for British citizenship (even on the next day of getting ILR).

Hello. Did you apply online? If yes, you should have received an email from UKVCAS and it will tell you to book your biometric appointment and upload your documents in UKVCAS website.
