The chant at the beginning was P-S-U, for Penn State univ. As the Penn State team was coming out onto the field they also played a snarling roar of a big cat, as the PSU team is The Nittany Lions. The crowd does all they can to disrupt the visiting teams communications, but it's amazing how quiet all those people can be when PSU has the ball.

I have NEVER heard anyone from the area refer to Beaver Stadium as Happy Valley. Beaver Stadium is IN Happy Valley. Happy Valley is the area where Penns Valley and Nittany Valley come together---that includes State College, Boalsburg, the Penn State Campus, the surrounding townships and down those valleys into Bellefonte and Pleasant Gap. If you stop at the Centre County Visitors Center and talk to the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau, they'll include pretty much the whole county as Happy Valley.

The Michigan coach had to call a timeout to avoid a delay of game penalty (Each team gets 3 per half). Basically the Michigan quarterback was distracted by the crowd noise and lost track of the 40 second clock. When a play is whistled dead a 40 second clock begins counting. If the offense hasn't snapped the ball (put it in play) before the 40 second clock runs, they will get a 5 yard penalty.

I literally could not hear my dad standing right next to me. The very first play you watched had gotten so loud the michigan offense couldn’t hear anything which resulted in a penalty because of a delay of game. Penn state has a whiteout every year and is argued to be the best environment in college football. It’s an absolute blast and before the game people tailgate all day stretching about a km away from the stadium.

The dates on the stadium are for particularly notable years, like when they went undefeated and won a conference or national championship. Also, as a Penn State grad, I can say first hand that the environment at these games is absolutely insane. I will also say that the lead-up to the game is incredible as well. PSU is a big school but it's in a small, rural town sitting in a valley and the whole town is bustling. Not only are the bars and restaurants packed, but the stadium sits on the edge of campus, meaning that people tailgate in the fields. People will set up on gameday or the day before and just cook, eat, drink, play games, and essentially have a big party before the game. And when it's a night game like this, it's basically just a huge celebration leading up to kickoff

1:56 The last chant they gave was 'We are PSU' I think. 2:38 Then 'Let's go PSU'. College games are fun. Even in the smaller stadiums it can be a lot of excitement. In huge stadiums like this one you have to shout to the person next to you to be heard. 9:38 I think Michigan had to call a time out or get a delay of game penalty. You have to snap the ball in a certain amount of time.

With top prospects getting 5+ offers to play for major colleges Penn State uses the yearly white out game as a tool for recruiting. 100% the case on the first play. You have 35 seconds to snap the ball from the time the ref sets it down. That’s called the play clock. If you don’t snap it before the play cock goes to :00 you lose 5 yards so you go backwards essentially. Michigan saw the play clock about to hit :00 so they called one of their 3 timeouts on the first play to avoid the penalty and losing 5 yards. You got it mate.

I’m am going to be honest.. I have no idea how your channel popped up on my feed but I am so glad it did. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!! .. thank you so much for not hating on us Americans. So many channels do that. The respect you show for my country touches my heart. This video absolutely made my heart swell with pride. I am a Penn State graduate and go to all of the home games. I live about 45 miles from the stadium. The atmosphere at the games is indescribable. The party outside and inside the stadium is a experience you must have. I was at this game you are showing. If you watch any of the white out games through the years you will see how electrifying the atmosphere truly is! If ever you get the chance to visit Happy Valley and attend a game you won’t regret it! It’s an absolutely beautiful stadium set in one of the most gorgeous and fun party towns in Pennsylvania. Love you guys and will look forward to watching all your previous and future videos ❤️

That's over 100,000 people all decked out in white for a night game. The tailgating (parking lot parties) start early, and the outside all-day pregame festivities are an experience all their own! The game has become a yearly tradition. School colors are white and blue. The football team is known for their old-style plain uniforms intended to bring notice to team and not individuals. The crowd gets so loud (as in the video) the opposing team cannot hear anything and trying to call out a play becomes impossible. There are rules for this and after a few attempts the refs will warn them. They quiet down a bit but roar to life whenever something happens. Nothing like college football atmosphere and game. Love you guys!

I was a sophomore at Penn state when this game took and was in the student section for the game. We were so loud on the first play Michigan had they had to call a time out because they could not hear the play call. I also lost my voice by halftime.

I was at this game!! A regular game day doesn't start when you enter the stadium. We tailgate from 8:00am in the parking lot until its time to watch the game and then after the game we go back and tailgate for another couple of hours while we wait for the parking lot to empty out a bit. White out games are like no other experience! A common chant is for one side of the stadium to tell "We Are" and the other side answers "Penn State" - they do this 3 times and the beginning side yells "Thank You" and is answered with "You're Welcome". The college mascot is a Nittany Lion which is why you hear the lion sounds. In America, at every game we sing our National Anthem as a reminder of the great country we live in and it allows us to pay our respects to our military men and women who have / are putting their lives on the line for our freedoms. I always thank a veteran / active military for their service. It's the least I can do to show my gratitude. Penn State has a motto where Michigan is concerned: Michigan Still Sucks 😂

Beaver Stadium is the fourth largest stadium in the world - Here's the rankings Rungrado May Day Stadium - 150,000 (North Korea) Sardar Patel Stadium - 110,000 (India) Michigan Stadium - 107,601 (University of Michigan) Beaver Stadium - 106,572 (My alma mater - Class of '74) Ohio Stadium - 102,780 (Ohio State) Kyle Field - 102,733 - Texas A&M (My dad's alma mater) Michigan, Penn State and Ohio all belong to the same conference, the Big 10. Of course, when I was an undergrad, it was a small, intimate place that "only" held around 55,000. It's been rebuilt and added on to several times since those days.

Pennsylvania State University (PSU) school colors are navy blue & white. Chant is "Let's Go P-S-U." Other chant is "We are Penn State." All colleges team players have white/light colored shirts & also colored shirts. They are playing in Penn State's stadium so they are considered the "home" team. Home teams wear colored shirts & "visiting" team wears white/light colored shirts. When Penn State plays at another team's stadium, they wear white shirts with navy blue numbers. This is mostly so referees can tell at a glance which team the player is on since many teams have similar colors.

My dad and sister are PSU Alumni so I've gotten to go to a few PSU games where it is electric throughout. The one I remember best was a PSU vs. Mich St game in the middle of November where the temp was the coldest I'd ever felt and the wind was whipping through the nosebleeds of the stadium. Of course that's where my family was huddled. Even with the weather everyone was amped, what a great experience.

That stadium is Beaver Stadium, In happy valley. It can seat well over 110k people. Penn St's colors are very generic NAVY BLUE N WHITE. No helmet insignia or names on the jersey backs. Its to say We are about the team, not the individual player. When you ask a player, coach, student, faculty member, or any fan at large to describe the atmosphere on campus or throughout it's fandom; you only need to respond with 4 words. WE ARE......PENN STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. VERY GOOD REACT N GREAT VIDEO PRESENTATION

Yep, Michigan had to go to a "clap count" to tell the center to snap the ball because it was too loud to call out the plays. But since the center didn't hear the clap either Michigan drew a 5 yard delay of game penalty and had to back up 5 yards further away from scoring and now 15 yards from a 1st down. What the Michigan coaches SHOULD HAVE known they would need to do--so the quarterback and center can get used to it before the game--is plan to have the QB move up behind the center--they call it "being under center" (as opposed to standing far behind the center like he was, which is "shotgun formation"). Then the center knows to snap the ball when the QB taps him, and the rest of the team has to watch to see the ball being snapped before charging forward.

When you DO finally get to a college game plan to make a full day of it and watch and participate in all the tailgating parties pre-game. It isn't just the game it is an all day experience. Lots of families go as a group and it is great fun for all ages. I personally am not a football fan but I LOVE going to college football games for the sheer fun of the day. Of course once I'm there I'm into the game but that is a minor part of it all! I'll take a college football game over the NFL any day of the week! Especially in you are in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, I could go on and on you know the BIG ones! Biggest stadiums are also the College ones as well. It's really so much fun and a must do on your bucket list when you visit America!

Im An Indiana Hoosier / Notre Dame fighting Irish fan! Hoosiers usually stink at football….but they allow pass out tickets so anyone can go tailgate/drink/play games/eat and then re-enter the stadium. …..needless to say, its a party win or lose! Notre Dame is one of the original college teams….it’s historic stadium and tradition can give most people goosebumps. IU Hoosiers = party Notre Dame = ivy league historic (Four Horseman) watery eyes lol. Notre Dame built a stadium around its old stadium to preserve it …the inside hallways today, are along the exterior wall of original stadium lol Most major Universities are going to turn up and make a saturday out of the home game! You should go while youre young! Tailgate “pregame” before the match, Then roll out to the university bars afterward. You’ll stay busy til 3am lol
