TPD: Analyzing current, future plans for Ohio State offensive line in State of Position series
Спорт
Fresh from a brief vacation hiatus on THE Podcast Daily, Bill Landis and Austin Ward continue their position-by-position look at the current roster makeup and the outlook for the coming seasons with a breakdown of the Ohio State offensive line. No unit for the Buckeyes carries as much intrigue both for this critical year and into the future than the linemen under assistant coach Justin Frye, which leaves plenty to discuss on TPD to start the week.

And... it's STILL a Great Day to be a Buckeye!!
I think most fans won’t feel comfortable until we see performance results on the O line. …same with recruiting.
Welcome back. Go Bucks!
agree that getting an experienced center is big. People that know more about oline play than myself said the calls and/or missed calls by our center in the bowl game was a big part of that display. Why we made that move is weird but it's over.
Good to see you back
Honestly… I would put Seth M at guard. He’s a great run blocker. Let Carson have that center spot and let Seth focus on just blocking

Hopefully on short yardage => adding LM and/or TS as TE’s should be a lock…..
Awesome as always thanks guys go bucks ❤
Hope we get Birm back to discuss the hit, but also misses on the recruiting front

Birm has a recruiting pod tomorrow he said
Harry Miller’s medical retirement has hurt the center position the last few years
Why they dont give Tshabola a chance at RG, I'll never know. Dude is a road grater. You guys dont break down the O-lineman on the roster and their progression.? Theres 7 or 8 guys i want to hear about.

He's in the mix! It will more than likely be him starting at RG. Or Luke Montgomery imo

I agree 💯. No reason for Tegra who was A top 40 overall recruit and hasn't even been given A chance he's huge. I'm sick of Justin Frye period he's clueless and has cost us A championship already
That's the problem the OL plays with no MEAN STREAK period just go through the motion
A podcaster said Kyle McCord reminded him of a blowup Gumby advertisement at a car dealership. Arms flailing as if they had no bones whenever he felt the rush. The intentional grounding penalties were on McCord not the offensive line. McCord played scared.

@@D_Shep343 he still went 12-1 and never shattered/tattered like Twice Broken DB => who along with LK, looked liked a train wreck ($hit St0rm).

@@13kimosabi13 I didn’t say either of them were suitable replacements you must have imagined that part. They went 12-1 despite him not because of him.

@@D_Shep343 ROTFLMAO at you ! I didn’t IMAGINE anything => just stated FACTS. However, the majority of what you shared WAS imaginary, contrived BS…… Thanks for the chuckles 🤡
How can you take a vacation when there are so many important things not happening? 😱😂
Seth had snapping issues all of last year. Notably in the Texas game and the rose bowl. He will show the same this year. I promise. God forbid it’s against Oregon or TTUN. Jalen milroe bailed him out a lot with positive plays on his bad snaps. Put Carson at center and Seth at guard and we will feast in n the run game
Josh Fryar is slow as hell and should be playing guard
It’s sad that you make every excuse possible for the O-Line in the bowl game => but all year long, even with 11 victories in a row => our media and Buckeye Nation would tear Kyle McCord apart. Do it one way or the other but your inconsistency here shows just how hypocritical BN can be.
Stop making excuses for the cotton bowl.... Frye had A month to prepare them and it was the WORST OSU OL performance in history and that is on the OL coach
This average OL will prevent this otherwise talented team from reaching its goals this year and next years OL is going to be atrocious unless get 2-3 excellent Transfer Portal OL in December/January window

With Chip schemes it will be fine with all the rest of the talent on the roster both sides of the ball we have enough and I'm sure if an elite Lineman jumps in the last portal window they will go all in

@@matthewmiller5194bullshit it's on Justin 💩 Frye and he can't recruit or develop period
Seth McLaughlin isn't even that good. Alabama couldn't wait for him to leave now look at how well Alabama has recruited the OL this year
Maybe Day will leave the RG spot open and just use 3 TE’s on the field to cover that spot and take more dangerous WR’s off the field, we can only hope & 🙏🏼
Seth McLaughlin isn't even that good. Alabama couldn't wait for him to leave now look at how well Alabama has recruited the OL this ye
Justin Frye f*cking around and already about to lose Will Conroy to Oregon...... Man why does Frye get such A long leesh while no one else does. Days friend or not he's not getting the job done at all period
Bill: The ‘Reset Button’ absolutely exists, it’s called the Transfer Portal - how TCUN put finishing touches on a NC OL - OSU in 2025 better get minimum 2-3 College proven Starter quality OL Transfers or it’s gonna be an UGLY 2025 season
