When I was in the 8th grade, I had a Social Studies teacher who was so upset that we didn't know all 50 states by name, that she started every class with a state name quiz and didn't stop until everyone in the class could name each state. That lasted for about a month before everyone could name all states. Here it is 35 years later, I can still remember all 50 thanks to her.

New Orleans and Philidelphia are not states, they are cities. Philidelphia is in the state of Pennsylvania and New Orleans is in the state of Louisiana. I kind of understand why you got it wrong because perhaps you are not in the United States but another country? And it is not "South" Virginia but just Virginia. There is no South Virginia. There is a West Virginia though. You picked 3 great locations. Don't waste you time going to California though. You want to see a state with beautiful scenery? Check out Idaho. Also, the Carolina's. Both North Carolina and South Carolina are beautiful states. North Carolina is a neighbor state south of Virginia. Also, Georgia south of South Carolina is recommended. If you were driving, you could start with Virginia, then North Carolina, then South Carolina, then Georgia and finish up in Florida. Don't try to drive the length of Florida, it would take you forever, it's a huge huge state. Catch a plane in Jacksonville, not far from the Georgia border. They also have international flights or you could fly out of Atlanta, Georgia as it is an International airport.

James, you had an advantage because you saw Millie’s answers before trying! My kids had a song from grade school that named all the states in alphabetical order and sung to the tune of “Turkey in the Straw”. They are in their 20’s, and I still remember it! Alabama and Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas California, Colorado, Connecticut, and more Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and 35 to go. Kansas and Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine Maryland, Massachusetts, and stinky Michigan (my kids were in Ohio after all!) Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana Nebraska’s 27 and 28’s Nevada. Next, New Hampshire and New Jersey, and we’re down to New Mexico New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio Oklahoma, Oregon, and Pennsylvania, now let’s see Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee. Texas and there’s Utah, Vermont, we’re almost through Virginia and Washington and West Virginia too Wisconsin is the last one, or is it 49? Wyoming is the last state of the 50 states that rhyme.

I thought you did quite well with the US states "quiz". I have always loved traveling and looking at maps or a globe, and geography was a favorite subject. I loved learning about the states and their capitals. When I was in 5th grade, I used my study hall time putting the states in alphabetical order adding the capitals to each state. I was able to do them from A-Z and reverse Z-A. I did this without the use of maps or globes. It was just a thing I did for fun.

I’ve gotta hand it to you. That was pretty amazing that people that are not even from the United States could name that many of the states. I think you shouldn’t have to spell them correctly as soon as you said them, you should’ve gotten credit.

I think they started this as a patreon stream and that ended and they started this video. They probaly did scrub the end of the live. Good way to keep the on screen energy alive. I have a channel im working on (not the one with this name) and my crew and I film all day and segway the energy into the next video by keeping it moving. Sometimes we forget to give a few seconds of none movement or sound to cut at and start a new segment. It's hard exhausting work. It's usually on the weekend on our days off from work. Love it though.

What makes me laugh is I watch the channel all the time and they have multiple license plates from different states on the wall behind them. You see these every day. Just look at them sometime. Those were some of the states which gave them both trouble. Millie says what's next to New Mexico and as she said it in the video there is an Arizona Plate right next to her head. LOL. Oh and Millie saying how come I can't get New Orleans... well that because its in Louisiana which you did get. Good Job though. I have seen people who live in the US do way worse. Love your channel can't wait to see what you guys do next always makes me smile and brightens my day.

Millie - I'm dying over the fact that we made the same mistake. Recently, I was telling someone I learned how to spell Mississippi from Matilda and then started singing the song. I quickly realized that it wasn't Mississippi she was teaching us to spell, it was the word Difficulty. Mrs. D Mrs. I Mrs. Ffi Mrs. C Mrs. U Mrs. Lty. 😂😂

Anyone else learn to spell Mississippi with the old "M...I...crooked letter... crooked letter... I....crooked letter...crooked letter... I... humpback... humpback...I" way of remembering? I remember being in elementary school and a bunch of us mumbling that during a test. The song "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" is still pretty much the only way I can remember the 5 Great Lakes. OMG Millie, the way you said "New Hampshire"... yeah you're definitely becoming more and more 'Merican ;)

I don't know how it is for others, but I'm from California and in 5th grade we learned US History and had to learn all the states, their locations, and their capitals. My teacher would give us one quiz a week on a set of 10 states for 5 weeks and that's how we learned them. We also memorized this song to help us: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kXlmpbCTec-8eco.html It worked! I literally still have that song stuck in my head
