Some real fun songs he does: "Red Solo Cup", "Trailerhood", "I Wanna Talk About Me", "Beer For My Horses". If you haven't heard his other patriotic song he's done "The Angry American - Courtesy of the Red White & Blue" written after the events of 9-11, then you should. All great tunes!!

FYI~ Marshall Dillion was the sheriff on a TV show called 'Gunsmoke' many years ago 'Miss Kitty' was the saloon owner in love with the hero sheriff. 'Gene & Roy' were old time singing cowboys on TV & in movies. Gene Autry (famous for 'Rudolf the Red nosed Reindeer' & Roy Rogers who sang 'Happy Trails to you' on the TV show he had with his wife, 'The Roy Rogers Show'. Nonsense trivia for you. LOL Toby is the best. I gotta check your page & see which one you need to see & which you have already seen.

The line "just like Gene and Roy" is a reference to the two most famous movie, television and recording Cowboy stars of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s Gene Autry and Roy Rogers. You may want to check them out offline to add a little context to the history of popular Country & Western music and culture. Great reactions to fantastic music! Cheers!

Every time I see that video, I think of when Toby Keith was telling the story of when he’s sneaking up behind the guy that’s holding the girl captive, you can see his last step. He stepped on some ice and slipped and almost fell, but he caught himself, and they left it in the video.

There was a common style of Country in the late 80’s early 90s. Garth Brookes, George Strait. I’m sure living in the UK you probably haven’t heard of many of those from that time frame. It was all really good music but definitely a pop music sound. In college I was known skip out of studying for an exam and going country line dancing.

I love that you've fallen for Toby Keith. He really reflects country music, in that he can sing songs that are funny or heartbreaking with ease. I think you'd also like Alan Jackson, for the same reason. Other Toby songs I think you'd enjoy : "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This (Unless You Mean it Like That)" "Beer For My Horses" "Who's that Man" "What I Didn't Know Then"
