That olympic dunk where Vince Carter jumped over the 7’2 Frenchman is the greatest dunk of all time, by far.
Shawn “Reign Man” Kemp was my favourite player when I was a kid. Kevin Calabro was the best play by play guy too! His calls made Kemp’s dunks even better to watch. I hope they get the Sonics back to Seattle soon. I’m hopeful with the Kraken joining the NHL and renovating the arena there will help bring them back. Kabir please check out Kemp’s top 100 dunks. 🔥🔥🔥

As a kid that grew up in Indiana in the 90s, we all loved him because he's from here! He was soooooo much fun to watch when he wasn't playing against the Pacers!
As an American who is 34 (just for reference of how long I've been watching NBA) I'm glad this list included dudes that played more than 20 years ago. Purely based on dunking, I completely agree with 1-3. After that I think it's all up for debate.
The clip of Julius "Dr. J" Erving running the floor and dunking from the free throw line was from the 1976 ABA All-Star Game Slam Dunk Contest when Erving played for the New York Nets. Others in that contest were Artis Gilmore of the Kentucky Colonels, George Gervin & Larry Kenon of the San Antonio Spurs, and David "Skywalker" Thompson of the Denver Nuggets. This was the first ever slam dunk contest, held at halftime of the All Star Game. This was the final season of the ABA, which merged with the NBA in June 1976. Teams from that final season: New York Nets, Virginia Squires, Kentucky Colonels, Indiana Pacers, Spirits of St. Louis, San Antonio Spurs, & Denver Nuggets. Two teams, Utah Stars & San Diego Sails, ceased operations during the season.
I knew before watching this that people like Elgin Baylor and Connie Hawkins wouldn't be under consideration as there isn't enough video of them, but those two along with David Thompson are three of the 10 best dunkers in professional basketball history.
When I was a kid in middle school you couldn't go a day without seeing somebody wearing a Shawn Kemp jersey.
Shawn Kemp will forever be my favorite dunker. The rain man was fun to watch

@@lazyblazer Right once he got shipped to Cleveland it was over. For my money most exciting in game dunker of my youth. Now im only 37 so i didn't see some of the wilkins stuff. But loved how everytime he touched ball he was attacking the rim looking to catch a body
12:12 Le Dunk de la Mort (The Dunk of Death) on Fredric Weis (7'2"), Sydney, 2000.
11:43 Alonzo Mourning in his rookie season (92-93). Jordan was at his vengeance tour (because his father's murder contributed to him retiring for the first time).
2:56 J.R. Smith, when he was younger (and is erroneously called Henny God because people thought he drank Hennessy (he doesn't, he said for 4 years that he hates distilled liquor)), he was a dunker.
Shawn Kemp was very much a power dunker. His athleticism was unmatched midair, his dunks weren't flashy like Vince Carter or D-Rose, but the agression he finished with at the rim still to this day has possibly never been matched.
12:01 As a right-hander, it isn't often to see a clockwise dunker. Paul George could as well.
Because of the SuperSonics I was able too see Shawn Kemp and down the freeway was Clyde Drexler and in same division with Kobe Bryant. Here in Seattle we had Kevin Durant and Yes , Yes we had Russel Westbrook with the 4th pick. F___ OKC stole our Sonics our NBA Championship Banner & Trophy 6 days after we drafted Russell.
Kabir, You did a great job, finding out the best 10 dunkers in NBA in history.
Joseph Vincent has the best videos

Completely agree mate! Definitely my favourite part of the sport
More Shawn Kemp!!! Dude was so fun to watch.
Ngl, kinda saw 1 and 2 coming. While I will always be a MJ fan, Vince is definitely one of the best dunkers I have ever witnessed play
Shawn Kemp 「Reign Man!」
Great reaction as always! You definitely should watch dunking highlight reels/mixtapes. That way you'll see A LOT of dunks from people who may not warrant a personal highlight reel reaction but we're still phenomenal dunkers

Thanks so much mate :) I’ll put some on my list!
You should check out Spud Webb in the 1986 slam dunk contest. You'll be in for a shock!!
If you're a Russell Westbrook fan, he has just joined the Lakers to be with LeBron and AD. This is like coming home for him since he's from the area and played college basketball at UCLA before going to the NBA.
Such a fun video. Thanks, Kabir!
Been a subscriber for a min now never dissatisfied
Thes3 were ok but,I think they missed a few that were better than some on the list. They weren’t dunks but check out George “The Iceman”Gervin he would opt for the finger roll instead of the dunk, but he was a master at it,he scored double digits in 407 straight games.I don’t see how “Chocolate Thunder” Darryl Dawkins isn’t on this list,Shaq grew up wanting to be Darryl Dawkins.
9:12 He also had large hands, so he can palm it like Jordan.

Vince Carter is the goat dunker 🐐

For me, Vince Carter is definitely the greatest dunker ever

He definitely revived the genre during his era.
11:36 Manute Bol didn't even had a chance, because Jordan blew by him.
I'm from Chicago. So, there's my answer! Besides that I like Vince Carter, and Dr. J. I'm showing my age!
I've usually only impressed by short players who can dunk. Spud Webb and Dee Brown, for example. I know some dunks are athletic plays, but so many dunks on highlights are just large guys dunking very hard. Even my clumsy self could do that if I was tall enough.
Hey man you should check out the patriots vs falcons Super Bowl LI highlights. It’s the biggest comeback in Super bowl history and the only Super Bowl game to go into overtime. NFL KZread channel has a great video it’s 21 minutes long, the gameplay starts at about 5 minutes if you want to skip to there
7:33 Biggest difference between Kobe and Jordan's dunk repertoire: Jordan never had 360 or windmill dunks.
Love the content bro keep it goin! Love from California

I think Blake and Jr Smith should be higher but Vince at #1 is the only non-debatable part of the list
Before watching this video my prediction is Vince Carter. I also was thinking Dominique Wilkins and Michael Jordan but Vince damn. After watching video got my top 3 dunkers and # 1 correct. I know my dunkers! got 2 and 3 out of order damn.
3:49 The victim: Kendrick Perkins, now an ESPN pundit. kzread.info/dash/bejne/iYOOsZKyctOfc5c.html Even his son looks like a big guard in the making in 10 years.
🐐
Too much fun and just so freakin nasty dunks😅🏀🤚.......
Shawn Kemp was ranked too low in this. I think I speak for a lot of basketball fans on this channel that we would like a Shawn Kemp reaction video. Some other players from that era to consider doing reactions to should be Hakeem Olajuwon and Penny Hardaway.

I would second this... and maybe a reaction video to some people like clyde drexler and kevin garrnet. Two great players who got overshadowed by jordan and then jordan and lebron.

@@ginzingtonschnizer2330 Kevin Garnett is one of my favorite players in NBA history. When I was in 3rd grade, my first pair of basketball shoes I ever got were Garnetts. This was back in the mid 90s when I was in 3rd grade. As young as I was then, I knew that KG was going to be one of the best ever and I was right
I love a good dunk anyday but 3 points is still better then 2 points!!! I'll take the Warriors backcourt of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, " the Splash Brothers" over everyone other then MJ! Klay is right behind Steph in threes! Klay once scored 60 points in a game in 30 minutes.(look it up). No lead is safe when u are playing these two. If they are behind, one of them will launch a barrage of treys and can tie a game or take over the lead in the blink of an eye. If both are in the groove at the same time and raining buckets then just beg for mercy!
Vince carter!
You should to Kobe Bryant’s greatest plays👌🏽
Definitely wyda took someone off. LeBron or doctor j for Aaron Gordon
Jordan Wilkins and Kemp top three of all time check out Len bias he died a day after the celtics drafted him he was a taller jordan
I think you might thrive on sparking debates my friend. 😊
Not to take anything from these guys but why no dunks from 5’ 6’ Spud Webb? 😁😁😁
6:58 President Obama has lived in Chicago since his university days, so he has witnessed Michael Jordan's era.
little bit I could say about this list. But I think all I'll say is it's a shame daryl dawkins wasn't on it.
JR SMITH! WE JUST SAW A MAN FLY!
This video you watched kills the edits in a bad way. Blake Griffin is a top 5 dunker idc. Didn’t even get the best clips for each player.
5:35 Too bad that weight issues really derailed his career.
The list needs Dominique Wilkins or they're dead wrong
React to Notorious Kevin Durant
Dr. J was the best and that sucks they only show 2 dunks
I still think Kobe's just pure style is my favorite
@kabirconsiders

Agreed bro!
Were you holding your breath??
Shawn Kemp and D Hawk were both better in game dunkers than Jordan to me. and Blake Griffin
Derrick Rose in his prime was better that Westbrook, if not for injuries, he would be up there with the best in the game still
Apparently Wilt never existed.
yep. Kemp way too low!!!
I'm saying this before I watch the video, but if Vince Carter isn't #1 then this video is a joke.
Top 10 dunkers of all time, not a single white guy on the list. I believe Wesley Snipes could vouch for Woody Harrelson to be at least top 9.
