6'3" is the average height of a male in The Netherlands, which is either the second or first tallest average of any country (not sure what it is in South Sudan) but another tidbit, the average Dutch female is 6'0" 😳 Edit: forgot to add my point in this. “Unfortunately, he was rarely healthy.” The most rarest of all athletes is the athletic 7 footer. Maybe two play at the same time in the league. Most 7 footers are decidedly not athletic. Secondly, the vast majority of people who get to seven feet tall and aren’t slow, they are terrible injury prone. The small joints and ligaments have a very tough time carrying that weight, it’s simple as that. I knew a guy, seven plus feet tall. By the time he was a freshman in high school, he was getting offers literally from every college. However, by the time he was a sophomore, his ankles gave out on him. Both ankles got fractures so bad, he needed surgeries on both. Multiple times. He could barely walk at times. By the time his high school years were over, both ankles needed to be fused and he had zero flexibility. He didn’t get a single offer for college by the time it was all said and done. He grew to 7 ft, 3 inches. Bottom line- bodies are just not meant to be that big.

In my work with 14-18 y/o about every 3 or 4 years I get a kid who is about 6 foot 11 inches. This year I have a 16 year old at 6 foot ten. Most people think kids this tall are slow, mostly because their job is usually to post up under the basket and set a blocking pick for outside shooters, so they don't "move" a lot.

Yes technically he did retire at 30 but it’s very sad because his career got ruined by injuries years before that. From the time he was 25 until his retirement there was only one season where he played more than 60 games even though there’s 82 in an nba season. In his last two seasons he was out all season when he was 29 and only played 5 games when he was 30. So sad to not be able to see a star like that reach his true potential due to injury

Not sure if anyone has said this already but no one actually knew Manute Bol's birthday. Not even himself, so no one knew how old the guy was. He then began to wonder if he's teammate really was 55 years old despite still being relatively new to the nba.

Surprised no one answered your 'Waiver' question. I'm not that good with basketball. But the team puts a player in football on waivers & other teams can pick him up. It changes about the ruling but normally there is a dead line, and if not picked up the player becomes a free agent at the end of the season. All the details change from time to time and I'm not familiar with basketball anyway.

These guys are actually tiny next to the world’s tallest man that still is the pinnacle of height. Wadlow Wilson stood over 8 feet tall. He wasn’t a player or anything just a medical condition that made him that way. There was no real way to really stop that so he just kept growing until his death in the 1920s i think. He didn’t have the best body as he walked with leg braces and a cane to support that massive frame. He wasn’t that big like you know eating as he was skinny but very tall. The tallest wrestler that’s active is the great khali at 7 foot 4 inches. He is one of the monsters in the ring though he’s more training people now for a career in the ring as nagging injuries keep sidelining him mostly his knees keep buckling as he walks. The big show is semi retired mostly doing producing backstage but at 7 foot even he was a force in his heyday. most wrestling companies tend to have giants that act like slow monsters that physically destroy opponents. It’s the way business is you know. If you show speed and control usually companies will give you a new persona to play and you riff off that into a good career if you are that big.

11:30 dunkorthree.com/waive-player-nba/ Yes in terms of roster spot, no because the old team still pays out his contract unless if another team picks him up.

13:48 no. And it’s the shortest NBA player ever at 5’3 muggsy bogues

13:49 NO! That was a real picture. The short one is Mugsy Bogues, 17:42 Spoiler alert: At 5'3" (with shoes), he still is the shortest ever player in the NBA. In Space Jam, he was the only person not to get hit when going over the door as he was well under 2m.

Wave means they get cut/fired during the season and any other team can pick them up from the waiver wire.

7:20 You were DEAD ON Correct, but I should get my coat. The Late David Stern (1942-New Year's Day, 2020). Sidenote: His date of passing was significant, because Kobe mourned his passing, before both he and Gigi passed 25 days later.

The average height of the Chinese is around 5 foot 6 depending. But yeah we are short and we get jokes and stuff but we get the last laugh.

Larry Bird started a bounty with his 80's Celtics teammates to collect a pot for the first person who could dunk on Manute Bol. I believe Robert Parish collected the bounty after accomplishing the feat.

OK time for the little guys and jockeys for 1 game should not count. Their are 25 players 5'9" and under in NBA history all the way to 5'3" Mugsy to players from Washington who were 5'9" in Nate & Isaiah 1 as the only 3 time NBA Dunk Champion and the other as last player drafted and winning NBA Championship.

Hey bro, since you really liked reacting to "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey, I have another great Journey song I suggest you react to. It's a song that really reminds of San Francisco when I hear it. Please react to "Lights" by Journey!
