I would have pulled the clutch plates out to see if the "grenade plate" was still in there. If it was, it has probably exploded by now. They tend to come apart and fill the primary and transmission full of little bits of metal. I got a Barnett extra plate clutch kit for mine. Luckily the grenade plate had not come apart yet.

Ever heard of an EasyOut? Easiest way to remove broken studs. You have to pull the derby cover to remove the primary cover. That spring is the reason it won't shift. It goes on the shift detent. There are two. One top, one bottom. BUY A FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL.

Left handed drill bits are far better than easy out when they work . There are far better screw extractors than easy outs . I prefer one of the types that come with a drill guide. I spent many an hour repairing other people's failed attempts at removing broken bolts and screws. You would not believe some of the messes I have cleaned up.

With a bill of sale you can get a Vermont title. You can do it thru a title service or to save money do it yourself but it does take time and money, you will be paying for tags registration and taxes and you will get Vermont title that you can then convert to your state. Info on line.

That’s where it was given to me at, and yeah that’s a possibility, and whenever something is missing I think it’s probably been stolen because I’ve had quite a few things stolen from myself and know a few people who’ve had stuff stolen!

It not likely for a bike to shift with the engine not running.

I'm pretty sure that a bonded title doesn't protect you at all. You are buying it to protect everybody else. If someone makes a claim of ownership within 3yrs, and you don't have the bike to give back to them, the bonding company pays that individual and then the bonding company comes after you for the money it paid out.
