    Awesome job! I used to compete with one of these back in the '90s. 😁 But I can't help but mention that this fix was way out of budget. You only managed to stay within because you gave the guy a bunch of things for free. Which is really just to show what a great friend you are, but still, it's not possible to reno a bike from that much.

    Thanks! I love the purple color on it. I wish modern bikes still had cool colors like that more available.

    Thank you so much for the build! It looks great and handles even better! I know how much time and effort you put into it, so this GT will be cherished for years to come. I’ve been hitting the trails pretty regularly with the wife and kids and can’t wait go Cruising with the Cobra!

    Nice bike and color! Good to hear you helped out a buddy to get rolling again. My teal steel is at my LBS for loose rear wheel hub that will take at least a week to fix (more bikes in line to repair than new bikes to sell). I don’t have the specific and expensive tools to do the job myself. 😢

    I always find bike tools to be a double edged sword. I have a lot that I bought for one project, then never needed them again. Hopefully I can get more friends into biking that want a below average mechanic to fix up their bike....then I'd be in business!

  • @CobraKyle

    @CobraKyle

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yeah I don't think this bike would be worth $350. It would have to be a super rare spec and in mint condition. Maybe it is special, but for an average one, I wouldn't spend much over $100
