Update: had to mute the audio in a couple sections due to copyright 🙄 not that it will make me money, but I think it’s unfair that someone can claim the $$ from the entire video if even a small amount has their audio in the background. See below for voiceover that was muted ⬇️

22:20 on I was talking a bit about how I was going to dropbar it. The plan was to use cable disc brakes so I could swap between the two, there’s fixtures that allow you to disconnect the brake cable (so you can then attach another bar setup with the same fixture) easily. I do have cable disc brakes I could put on it, but the riser/flat bar setup is too fun so I haven’t put dropbars on it yet. Sometime this year I’ll throw some on, though! I plan on doing a little update video, to show how the bike is currently for those on KZread. 😎 ❤️

Have upgraded a few lovely old titanium hardtails, and decided to go with modern discs up front (used decade-old Ebay XTRs) on an upgraded fork, but kept the cants in back -- they weigh less, don't require any fuss, and are plenty strong for a rear. If you want something really powerful, get XTR v-brakes.

Hi all! There’s a glitch(or two) in the audio. I kept having issues and it wouldn’t resolve, roughly 7:30 in 😖 Basically it’s a run down of the parts, and for some reason it’s jumbled up so at one point I’m pointing at the shifter box but talking about stickers 🤷‍♂️😆 Sorry if there are any more issues!! Thank you for watching 😄💓 Koga Miyata restoration next up 😎

Just seen this as a recommendation, I've a Hardrock Comp I'm building, full XT M739 throughout, original saddle, forks, bars. Mavic M400 rims on XT M737/738 hubs. Tioga City Slickers tyres 2.10 on 26 rims. All period correct for a 1999 model. I'm so looking forward to watching this vid to see if you can sway me to a retro mod, I've also got a Stumpy maybe 96/97? waiting to get some love.

The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. kzread.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.

Love the bike design kzread.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube. All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.

I’m searching for a 17”-20”, 1997-2001 Stumpjumper M2 or an S-works frame if anyone has one or a lead on one please let me know. My rockhopper frame just started to get hairline cracks so unfortunately need to replace it, figured I’d see if I can get lucky and find a stumpy or Sworks. Even if you’re reading this in a few years from now, I’ll always be interested. Just drop a reply comment and I’ll see it in my notifications and get back to you. Thanks! Love the retro MTB community- you all are great!
