    something interesting to consider, given they imply Brightburn is a wasp, there are other wasps that compete or hunt other wasps...soooo there's a possibility that MAYBE if there is a sequel, it would mean Brightburn meets someone stronger/worse than him.

    I loved,loved, loved "Smallville" and when I saw "Brightburn" I was very impressed by the story. The difference for me is the secret. Clark knew he was different, the other kid had no clue. Don't keep secrets from your child. Being lied to makes you angry and you feel like a fool.

  • @jimmycraig221

    @jimmycraig221

    3 жыл бұрын

    what?? lol the parents were almost EXACTLY the same. they didnt tell clark either, he had to find out just like brandon did. the concept you fail to grasp is that brandon isnt a human boy. nor a sad lost soul wandering and teetering in the balance of moral ambiguity. he is a biological weapon. his fuse was lit on the 12th bday. the footsie they play that is the movie is them, as well as the audience, being brought to terms with the fact this isnt a child at all. he was meant to look like one, sound like one, and be like one. but once he was raised to be physically autonomous and able to sustain himself, he was triggered to begin his mission. to TAKE THE WORLD. you should try harder to understand what the movie says. as opposed to what you are saying without adequately listening or grasping the message. this movie IS real life. put a wolf outside near some chickens and try to feed it dog food. no matter how many times you want to tell the wolf 'the truth' or rationalize it, the fact remains. the wolf will kill. the people who fail to piece this together logically are similar in a way to much that is wrong with the world. they would let govt impose on their rights, think peace solves violence, and security is something to be unbothered by altogether. instead we should understand what protecting yourself and your loved ones means. it means you'd have to shoot this thing. like the dad tried to do. it was, as our man filmcomicsexplained says, INEVITABLE. they did everything they could, with what they had. they were overmatched from the start. their openness and quickness to accept, as opposed to gauge with careful and exhaustive scrutiny, was what further sealed their doom, and the planet's. if, upon impact landing, they had instead sent him to the US govt and they kept him in a big cage and studied/killed him and his craft, the planet would certainly be in better circumstances. so its a nice refreshing inversion on the classic superman trope. in real life, you have to perform optical patdowns, and various security measures CONSTANTLY. when you start trusting the world to do your worrying for you is when you invite disaster upon yourself and anyone under your cloak of influence. its cool to see it be this way in movieland as well. usually we see a very saccharine and questionable system of cause and effect, action and reaction. this movie was not artificial, sweet, and headache inducing. this movie was the real deal. if you want sweet, you need bitter, so pucker up baby.

    I agree with the "showing his good side" idea. Maybe the girl in the movie could have been getting bullied by a pack of older boys. He steps in to help, only to be beaten up himself. She tries to comfort him but the feeling of powerlessness triggers his powers and instincts. At some point he kills the bullies and tells the girl, thinking she will be pleased. However, when she instead becomes terrified of him and calls him a monster, he lashes out killing her unintentionally. That would have added to the overall tragedy of the situation.

Because their magic weapons goes inside their bodies. WHEN THEY ARE NOT USING THEM!! SEAN AND CAITLYN HAVE FOUR DIFFERENT TYPES OF SUPER POWERS!! My OTHER 8 CHOSEN ONES have only three different types of SUPER POWERS!! NO. 1: THE MAGIC LAMP ABILITY!! This power grants most of my main protagonists' wishes. My 10 chosen ones can resurrect the dead, most of the time. THEY CAN'T REVIVE YOU IF YOU DIE FROM A MAGIC CURSE OR IF YOUR DEAD BODY IS IMMUNE TO MAGIC!! NO. 2: Superhuman strength, superhuman weight, and superhuman physical attacks. NO. 3: Above average psychic power. NO. 4: Only, Sean Keitaro Hawking and Caitlyn Archer can use this type of power: godlike power. THEY WILL ONLY USE THIS POWER AS A LAST RESORT!! They can both become all powerful but not all knowing. Their bodies have a four hour time- limit. Because they are demigods! IN ANY CASE, MY FATHER REWROTE 14 SCRIPTS OUT OF MY 34 DRAFTS!! MY SCRIPTS WILL BE COMPLETE ON 2026 A.D!

Nonetheless, I was inspired by Norse mythology, Egyptian mythology, Japanese mythology, Dragon Ball Z, D.B Super, H.P Lovecraft, and the Punisher!! Sean is a little bit different than Deadpool. NO. 1: SEAN IS FRIENDLY, LOYAL, AND A GENTLEMAN, MOST OF THE TIME!! NO. 2: SEAN USES SLAP-STICK HUMOR AND STRANGE HUMOR!! Sean is half white and half Japanese and had a tragic past when he was six-years-old. SEAN IS 15-YEARS-OLD IN MY TV SHOW/VIDEO GAME!! He's slim, standing 5'7 and has shot natural brown hair. Nevertheless, when Sean was 7-years-old a wicked stranger tried to kill him. Luckily, Sean was born with magic powers. He was forced to murder the wicked stranger in self-defense! Sean only murders and tortures bad people! Caitlyn and Chloe Archer are identical twins. They are both beautiful looking. They are both 16-years-old in my TV show/ Japanese style R.P.G. They stopped growing at age 16. Caitlyn and Chloe Archer are both slim, standing 5'11. They both have medium length hair. They are both 21-years-old in my sequel/movie. Finally, I hope to make an anime crossover with something similar to Final Fantasy!! Speaking of FF: my gameplay is based on FF 10 Remastered, FF 12 Zodiac Age, and Dynasty Warriors. My stories are rated R because of red blood and fantasy violence. Anyway, there is an optional boss, which is a dragon that is 72-feet-tall. The dragon's name is the Void! Because how tall he is. My sequel/movie is 5 chapters long.

Or weld a car's drive shaft so it will not move. And if someone bump me when jogging, that person would be the one to " just " fall down. This movie was written as a horror drama, but the kid could have just treated his home town like an ant farm and not go on a killing spree. A child throwing a fit and flipping cars is one thing, it is another thing is have your car sitting on bricks in under a minute before you have to go for work in the morning.

    for me, it was the concept of 'superhero-horror' fusion as a new genre. i trusted those involved to deliver a unique and gripping work of badassery, and they exceeded my expectations (which were set unreasonably high). i love this movie, its tempo, pace are like water, smooth and clear. the main 3 actors put in top notch performances. that kid is ridiculous. he was in doctor sleep, i think. he straight up kills it. dad and mom's performances felt exactly like what the story wanted out of them, and the entire film and experience benefited from it. color, imagery, set/setting, all gorgeous. im honestly able, with repeated viewings, to derive greater and greater pleasure, and develop a greater appreciation from and for the visuals. audio is frickin ridiculous, you literally hear every death. For the sheriff (deputy?) death, it was as if they took a side of beef, (like the huge things rocky beats up in the walk ins) and stuck microphones all over it and inside it; then rammed it with a dump truck at 70 mph. you can hear flesh, blood, and bone in the impact. it leaves an emotional mark, seriously. I could go on all day, but i ultimately doubt anyone will be doing anything like this for AWHILE. maybe they do a decent sequel, but honestly, if this movie just stays perfect like it is, i wouldnt complain. its just everything i wanted from the extremely enticing trailer, and so much more. i wish everything on this planet was more like brightburn. stark, intelligent, and bent on world domination.

There's a medical condition when a mother doesn't bond with their child. Also, a father bonds with the child too.. It's not like inviting a stranger into your house at all

    The thing that doesn't make this a more realistic darker Superman story is that Brandon was genetically predisposed to become evil so no amount of love and compassion in his upbringing would have made a difference. A true antithesis of Superman would have been if Kal El was not raised by loving farmers, but instead went though a difficult life as an orphan drifting though the Foster care system and later as someone forced to live in the lower annals of society creating a sense of hopelessness and powerlessness. When his powers manifest, he sees it as the means for him to not only take revenge against a society that has wronged him all his life, but also live by it's ideals that the weak are always at the mercy of the strong. This is why the versions of Superman from Red Son and Gods and monsters interest me more as they are by all accounts the same person capable of all the same things but it is what they learn from humanity that shapes them into who they are. Gods and Monsters version especially (sure he's technically General Zod's son but again he has the same chance to become a hero or a villain) was raised by a migrant couple so he lived a life where he had to work hard for everything he had and was often at the receiving end of an imbalanced system. This lead to a Superman who while for the most part is a good guy but he is not above using violence because he has learned that is often all people will understand and he has no disillusion about killing because that is sometimes what it takes.

    My main complaint with the film was that it was too short, making it feel rushed, especially in the last 20 or 25minutes. Given more time they had room to flesh out more of the internal conflicts among Brandon, and his feelings towards his parents. The acting was great though. The chemistry between the parents was excellent, and their behavior towards the changes in Brandon was very refreshingly realistic. Their acting was a big highlight, and Brandon did an excellent job as well. It was refreshingly dark, and uncheesy. I'm tired of so many horror movies, and comic book movies being so cheesy.

    I watched this movie the other day and thought it was quite enjoyable. It's not perfect, but it does something very few alternate versions of Superman do with the character. It was interesting to see how a kid who had a pretty normal life up until this point become a blood thirsty monster. I thought it would be interesting for a sequel to meet up with Brandon ten years after he begins his war on the world. Maybe show him living like a king or say meeting others of his kind, say they want to check up on his progress. I actually want to write a fan story where he fights a Doomsday esk character in New York or Metropolis. You do a great job with these videos, keep up the great work!

    that sounds fantastic, let us know where to read your fan fiction, i am genuinely impressed by the content some fan fiction brings to the table. in the dark universe, i imagine the doomsday struggle would be for dominance of the world, not like an inversion of doomsday (aka light, or good doomsday). the dark universe seems a stark contrast to the bubbly bright universes most superheroes live in. one where dictators ravage planets with their war, and the consequences are felt all over. doomsday maybe serves as the distraction the humans need to sneak into brandon's lair and retrieve the piece they need to finally hurt him? from his ship, or whatnot? i dunno, just riffing. let us know how it turns out

    @@jimmycraig221 omg thank you for such kind support and just awesome words of encouragement! They mean alot for an amateur like me. You're absolutely right, fan fiction is a great source for creativity and honing you're skills. I've read fan fictions that are borderline novels. I honestly don't know when I'm going to get started or when its going to be released, but after reading this comment I may have to rethink the whole premise. Originally, I was going to set it a good ten years after the events of the movie with Brandon being feared as this folk legend with those who he thinks are unworthy of life are executed. Then an alien ship comes by with Brandon's biological father, who is kinda this Darkseid figure, and he's here to test Brandon's mettle against the Doomsday like figure who evidently is his bio bro. You had alot of good ideas in your comment, especially if Doomsday was found as some sort of contingency plan if Brandon got too crazy or the world being ran by dictators who might be under the thumb of Brandon in some way. Again no idea when I'm going to get started or when it will be released, I got a few other stories on the go at the moment. However if you're interested i can send you a link to my wattpad page that way you can stay up to date with my stories from Dark Matter Deku (wip), Wrath of Thrawn and the Anthology of Anything. Thank you for the kind words! I'll do my best!

    Too psychotic, too uncontrollable, TOO POWERFUL. No, he would be a terrible fit in that universe. The Homelander would feel his Alpha A-hole position threatened.
