Yeah, I think she's joking around using sarcasm and dry humor... but she doesn't do it very well. The delivery comes out as condescending and even irritated, causing people to believe she's being serious. Compare to RDJ who uses a shitton of sarcasm and comedic arrogance but still comes across as charming and likable. Whereas most people get Robert's humor, Brie's seems to miss its' mark.

She simply shows hoe insecure, irritated at being questioned, condescending, and self righteous she really is. Look at her interview with Hemsworth when Chris dared to give her a small jab ("Oh, so you're Tom Cruise now") regarding her claim of doing her own stunts...

I’ve never expected to hear “Why do you need to know” for asking if you’re a lefthanded. Outstanding move.
