Maybe she changed and is woke as hell, who knows. In her industry you have to truly be or pretend to be woke as hell nowadays to survive, to not get canceled. Everytime I watch her vids with Craig I'm slightly hoping she is just pretending being that disgustingly woke nowadays. She seemed so loveable, so sweet and fun to be with. She is somehow trying to fix her recent image with her youtube channel right now, to seem relatable, likeable. I don't know what to think about her. Hated her as hell over the last years. But I hope this great and fun character I see in this videos with Craig is hiding somewhere behind her ugly, modern facade.

@The Rue Morgue Sad but true. I wonder how much of it was writing and directing? A character with no vulnerability is boring. Superman's commitment to humanity makes him vulnerable, plus there's Kryptonite. Capt. Marvel needs either an Achilles' heel or a sense of humor. Giving her Peter Parker as a comic relief sidekick didn't work out so Feige & Co. better come up with something.
@dodgyb2001
3 жыл бұрын
@@RCaIabraro That's exactly what I think. Virtually all the other Marvel movies, the hero has a massive internal flaw they have to overcome to become the hero they are. Iron man, Spider-man, Doctor Strange. You don't have that with CM, she starts off as a fairly confident amnesiac superpowered character who then becomes an overconfident superpowered character with a ridiculous amount of power. Amnesia is not a character trait. I've loved her in just about everything else she's been in, US of Tara, the Room, Scott Pilgrim, but the CM movie didn't really give her much to do. The writers of the next movie are going to have to come up with a good challenge for her now she's so OP. Maybe play off the fact that she thinks she can overcome anything, and then she gets massively beaten and has to deal with the loss of confidence, and having to use her head to solve the problem. Most superheroes don't use their powers as such to beat the bad guy, but use their smarts to beat the bad guy. As for her off-screen, I think she just feels a responsibility after Me too to push for more equality around her. Great power comes with it as they say...

@@RCaIabraro That wasn't all marvel, it was also just the timing. That was a hilarious and dirty comment but the way she says it makes it sound not at all. Politically in america shit was just going in the toilet on social media with people mad about everything. The movie Captain Marvel was pretty good, and she does have a sense of humour in it, but its all the super serious sarcasm that guys don't like, when she's talking down to all the earth guys like they are idiots, which of course they would be. But she's always been this weird kind of goofy, and marvel had all men and all experienced big time actors so I think they told her to tone it down, which she did, too far. But a LOT of people's problems with her are clearly problems with themselves and what kind of movies they think hollywood should be making. Hollywood will cater to whoever pays the most, and CM made a boatload of money, but now there's a demographic thats just so angry that I think they are scared of what to do with her. @@ninjanibba4259 She definitely is. But enlighten us and tell us when you think Brie was fun and when that changed? I think people have a huge gap of knowledge about Brie Larson which is totally understandable. We all know bits and pieces about the absolute majority of media people including people we have actually met. And it might be true that Brie had a phase when she became Captain Marvel (but the movie wasn't out for a couple of years) where she was trying to adjust to her changing world. See, Brie rejected the role of Carold Danvers at first because of fear of the pressure, the exposure etc. But she bravely took on that project and she grew so much by training hard and working hard and playing a strong woman. Then she also had to do tons of press and do interviews with fellow Avengers actors when she was the new kid and those interviews weren't great. They weren't as bad as people make them out if you look at the entire series of interviews and consider that actors act and make fun of each other and have inside jokes going on. And then Brie's infamous Wired autocomplete interview and her Crystal awards "I don't hate white dudes" speech. I think Brie felt the need to make some change with her new star power. It was a bit too aggressive maybe but Brie meant well. But her speech was taken out of context and that fueled the hatred against her even more. After that, Brie never was that public about her causes, maybe she's doing it privately now. Most only know few clips of Brie and that includes the "negative" ones that get constantly quoted and when they see a young Brie improvising and fooling around with Craig Ferguson in a very laissez-faire interview that no other talkshow does, the general consent (as you can read in the many comments under this video) is: "Ah, Brie used to be so charming back then and then she became woke, cold, arrogant etc., what has happened to her?". While that isn't true at all. Watch her many talkshow visits, watch her own youtube channel, watch her having fun in interviews or playing games in some videos. Watch her on Kelly Clarkson, with Jennifer Lopez, with Jimmy Kimmel etc. Again and again Brie is seen laughing and having fun with other people. But she isn't a robot and she isn't always goofy. Which is fine. It's funny how many people feel the need to trash Brie Larson as if she was the worst human being. There are tons of really bad people in the world that actually do harm to others. Why is Brie targeted? I mean, I personally ignore celebrities I do not like. You won't see me post "I hate Donald Trump" comments on youtube or say hateful things about Putin or whoever does hateful things. Why should I?

@dodgyb2001

'Cause captain marvel was just a virtue signal and what is probably her biggest most recent role made her just play "powerful woman, independent" which isn't a character, her part in MCU was rushed due to Chadwick, I think.
19:56 The lady in pink must have been crying from laughter the whole time!!! 😂😂😂
it is almost like one hug from her and i could die a happy man.
that was so adorable when she hummed into the harmonica lmao
That's the most adorable actress I've ever seen 😍
7:37 is lovely. A strong running hug 🤗 to the point that her feet leave the ground.
I'm sorry, I love Brie Larson, but the guy just unexpectedly going: "It's my gold sheen!" REALLY cracked me up! xD
I like to see her put 10 minutes together and do stand up...she's whip smart
at least her name isn't camembert..
I know these videos are old, but Brie Larsen…I’m shocked at how personable she is and funny as compared to now. Something bad happened to her…that’s what I think in my mind. It’s the only way I can reconcile the difference.

She made the film Room and thought she had to become a serious actress after that. Ironically, if she'd kept her positive attitude and spirit that she had to give up to become a big star, she would've been a beloved star.

She's an actor. The character was a brainwashed imperialist living weapon with amnesia, and subsequently dealing with the aftermath of having been that. Hugh Jackman isn't like Wolverine either. And Sebastian Stan isn't the Winter Soldier. It's pretend. Brie Larson does a very good job of playing the character that's in the script, and that character has a lot of baggage that informs her personality.

It's to bad she turned into a man hating femanazi. It appears that maybe she always had been as you notice, in each visit he asks her if she is in a relationship, and she always says no. The last time saying that men cant keep up with her.
8:30 "Commander of Fabulous"? I believe he meant "Captain of Marvel-ous"
I genuinely love her. Her personality is so fucking cool. The ideal woman in my eyes.
I had no idea Brie Larson was such a natural. Her timing is perfect. And the duo with Craig makes it even better.

She was surrounded by actors playing super heroes whose combined egos could power New York city. Some of that ego is bound to rub off but she's basically down to earth. She does not take things too seriously. I think the rumor that she is a diva came from jealous people. She does not party like a lot of divas.

she's an opportunist through and through. and that slippery as an eel. I wonder if there's anything else at all besides this only "authentic" characteristic of her.
13:05 Craig's radar was ticking. If she'll ever come out as not straight, I'll come back to this clip and drink on his honor
I have to play armchair psychologist - given the obvious huge crush she had on Craig, the fake argument of "you don't love me enough" 32:42 seems to be exactly how she felt.
I have been a fan of hers since Scott Pilgrim. She is always so fun and personable. Anyone saying she "used to be" must be looking through some odd angry eyes - she is still just as great as she has always been. 😎

That was the shortest and most efficient argument I've ever seen.
She is absolutely adorable!
"How can I keep my mouth closed and touch your organ ?! " 😂😂
13: 27 is the best part, never seen Craig getting vulnerable by a pretty lady
