Do you have a shop selling quilling tools etc?

Thank you for sharing this technique. Your feathers look almost real. A few feet away & the do look like real feathers. I'm going to love being able to make my own. I do have a question, though. Please, put it down to my being fairly new at quilling. You list the paper needed. An example is 2 X 6 for one of the feathers. Does that mean 12 feathers attached on 1 side? or is it 6 feathers attached on a side? I'm not familiar with the wording. Thank you once again for the great video lesson. BTW, I would love to see a Phoenix, Macaws, (I love the big blue Military Macaws best.) or a Bird of Paradise made from your feathers. I can't wait until I am good enough to make my own. Until then, I'll have to live vicariously through artists like you.

Hi. I have part of it figured out. The numbers refer to how many strips of 350 mm that you used. But, I don't know where or how they are used on the feathers. I saw you tearing some off to make the feathers even. I do apologize for being so dense. I am very new to quilling & some terms & techniques go right through my head, without stopping in my brain to say hello. So far, I have learned all of the basic shapes & I can even put them together nicely. I can follow patterns, if written out for people like me. You know; "Take three - 3 mm strips, stack them on top of each other & glue them together. Do not forget to make sure they are all evenly placed." I hope you can help me & I do apologize for taking up your time like this. Here are the times you requested. Hope it helps you figure out where I had a brain-fart. All of the strips were 350 mm. At minute 1:20, you wrote; 2×1 strips of 350 mm. 4:36 - 2×2 strips. 4:36 - 2×2 strips. 4:49 - 2×3. 9:31 - 2×6 strips. 10:09 - 2×9. 10:23 - 2×10 strips... and so on. I missed many, but this is probably more than enough for you to figure out what confused me. I believe that's plenty to see where I'm getting lost. You need, more strips of the same size, but I can't see what you are doing with them. My Oca-Wrap didn't look like yours. I know I sound dumb. So far, all of the books, notes, & videos have said what to do with the strips. You treated everyone like we all know what to do already. Great thing to do, but some are still learning & need the extra steps explained in more detail. I find a person that does great work & then watch, read, look at everything they offer & I try to learn from them that way. Lucky you! I chose you to pattern myself after & so you get my dumb questions. : ~) Thank you so much for your patience. Pheesao

That you have much difficulties with this technique I can understand very well. These techniques are totally new and not much known. My videos are not only for quilling beginners but also for advanced quillers which do quilling several years. This technique is also difficult for advanced quillers, so there is no need to behave like you do. In this 5 Part Video tutorial I have introduced this new technique. I do not show all the feathers, the video would be to long. So I only show one example of each comb technique, while the other feathers are only a repeting of it. By the others you just need more strips as written all in the video and my PDF-file. To all the 5 video tutorials you can also download a PDF file which will help you further. The same is also for all the other examples. Sorry I did not get it as you explanded it to me in your first comment, so I needed the time in the video to look what you mean, since I made this video in Oktober 2016 and can't rememer all the details.
