This song is so well done and holds some special memories for me. My grandfather, he passed in April, and we used to share music a lot. This is one of the last songs I showed him and he used to request that I play this song when I drove him to his doctor appointments. I played this for him one last time in the hospital, the day before they removed his life support. I hope he heard it. Today is the first time I listened to it since he passed and I could feel him here again.

About 15 years ago the headmaster at the independent boarding school where I taught asked me to take a young lady into our home for the summer. Her father was a wealthy and influential man whose 2nd wife wouldn't allow her to go home. We did and she became part of our family. After that summer, despite not allowing her to live with them, her father became jealous and insisted that we break ties with her. I refused to walk away from her and was fired. When she graduated from high school, she thought she was literally going to be homeless, but my husband and I welcomed her back to our home. Our "Silver Girl" is now finishing up her PhD, living with a wonderful partner, and all her dreams are truly on their way. Thank you, gentlemen, for such a lovely cover of what I have come to think of as "our song for our beautiful daughter."

Sorry for your loss. My first marriage failed in 1992. Second marriage ended with the death of my spouse from liver failure. 12 years into my third marriage...God has been so faithful to me through all the ups and downs. God bless you!

Really love the setup. Acapellas are usually standing and stuffs, but this setup that basically looks like you're just hanging out and suddenly that one dude started singing and the rest just followed up, is cool

I'm so happy with Layne recently singing a lot! He has such a beautiful voice.

"I only discover this group 2 days ago" -- Same here, and I've already showed somebody a video of theirs (the singing busts video), and he immediately asked how the group was called so he could look them up himself as soon as he had free time. And hey, I also scheduled a video of theirs in my personal blogs (will take awhile to appear as I use the scheduling feature to make a new entry pop up every week)... Oh, and I immediately subscribed to this and that is something I rarely do, so those I subscribed to can consider it an honor, as less than 1% (if not even 0,1%) of the channels I've visited did I subscribe too, but these guys are too good, that I was trying many excuses not to subscribe... but I found none.

I always come back to this song, and specifically this version, in my times of stress and anxiety- Definitely eases my mind!

IMO.......A fairly easy song to sing but absolutely not an easy song to cover, particularly A-Capella. These guys nailed it. I doubt that anyone-ever will match S&G on this one but this is an absolutely worthy listen.

When Geoff sings slow emotional low songs it is so satisfying to hear it !!!!
