"Nothing Else Matters" is a song written and originally performed by James Hetfield of Metallica. It was released in 1992 on Metallica's self titled album. As far as we can tell, this is one of the only a cappella versions of this song and we hope that we've given such an iconic song the treatment it deserves. Thanks again for watching!

Huh. I always thought this song was a really sad, depressing, nihilistic ballad. I didn't dislike it, but I never heard the message until this version. Wow. Amazing how a different vocal styling can make you LISTEN instead of just HEAR. Beautiful.

I think these normally-butter-smooth, dapper a cappella-loving gentlemen have some grit in their very souls that is slowly seeping out over time and it's a beautiful thing to behold. They started with Panic at the Disco and Queen (seriously, who dares to start with Queen?), moved on to Prince and a double helping of Imagine Dragons, blessed us with a wonderful spin on Kansas, and then followed that by absolutely nailing the one Aerosmith song everybody knows it's better to just leave alone. Now they start the new year with Metallica?!? They're all going to need new toothbrushes to get the sand out of their teeth if they keep this up, but I for one really hope they don't stop! 🤘🤘

I spent 25 years in the music/Broadway entertainment industry.I have listen to this Repeatedly And each time there is a different reason for all the hairs standing up on the back of my neck.Grinning like the cheshire cat with a tear trickling from one eye, bravo gentleman bravo !!
You guys hit me in the soul. My soul vibrates when you sing. Geoff, your super-low bass is so pure. Eli, I can't even. No diss to anyone else of course! Ya'll are completely stellar. But as you know, ears are tuned to hear certain things. Geoff and Eli are what I hear most clearly. That's all. I'm 56, so my hearing isn't as great as it was when I was young, but I do hear all of you and it's awesome. But, when you get "old", there are some sounds that come through more clearly than others, and Geoff and Eli stand out to me as a middle aged person that only hears specific things because that's what I also sing. Bass is what I sing. Tenor is what I base my accuracy on. I'm a girl that sings bass because of congenital issues. My vocal cords gave out after surgery. Now, instead of singing Linda Ronstadt, I sing Avi Kaplan. Why didn't I say Geoff? Because honestly, and this hurts my heart, Geoff's bass is so much more clear and pure. I have to work harder to sing the lowest notes, and I can't just "sit" in them like Geoff.
As an old man who listened to Metallica blaring over loudspeakers going into battle for PsyOps (who cares if it worked, we got to blast Metallica AND go Pew! Pew! Pew!), honestly I was a bit skeptical about whether I would be able to enjoy this. I no longer am. Well done, lads. I truly appreciate the mind blowing work and attention to detail making this happen and each of your individual contributions. Semper Fi.
First time listener, longtime Metallica fan. This is phenomenal.
Damn idk what is sexier Geoff in his hottness with that deep bass or when Layne pulls out the violin... this song was awesome thank you so mucb guys ❤

Thing I love about these arrangements…first listen, it blows your socks off. After about five more listens and you find all the amazing little nuisances, next thing you know you have no clothes on.
Layne whips out an electric violin and nothing else matters ❤🔥
I grew up listening to Metallica, and this was awesome!! ❤
Probably what I miss most about my youth was singing acapella. Now sick as in my 40s. Single mom trying to make ends meet. All I miss is singing.
I was honestly going into this thinking it'd be more pop-ish and I'd ultimately think "very impressive, not my cup of tea" but legitimately superb work. I don't think I can pick a favorite part. Metallica fan stamp of approval.

55 seconds and I’m sold on this well done.
It's been so long since I've listened to anything worth listening to. The earth and my ears are so tired of surrogates in music. And here it's all alive. Thank you for the balm to my heart. Hugs. I more than love you.
Come on VoicePlay, it’s only mid-January, don’t you think it’s a LITTLE early to be dropping your best song of the year already? Like pace yourselves a little bit, holy heck. 🤯🤩🤘

Unless...it's not their best. (I know there's a Deejay collab waiting in the wings). Which would be hard to imagine, but completely awesome, and a little scary. How much better can they get?

Please disconnect my internet!. I can´t stop viewing this video!!!
been tossing this around my friend groups singing the praises of this cover so might as well share the praise here as well It's amazing, the way everything is laid out, the build up; the violin solo straight up making me feel some kind of deep, feral, primordial emotion that sends shivers down my spine everytime This cover is straight up amazing
Nunca vi nada igual! Todas as vozes impecáveis! A do cara do cabelão meu Deus que grave sem igual perfeita esse grave . Sinceramente me emocionou demais! Assisti 4 vezes ! Assisti e fiquei voltando o vídeo várias vezes.. sem acreditar! Se aqui na terra o ser humano é capaz de tanta proeza com a música.. eu fico imaginando os anjos no céu cantando pra Deus deve ser de arrepiar!
