The coolest thing about watching all these reaction videos to this incredible performance is that I don't feel alone anymore. It's actually the literal recording from My Mind! Jacob used an old recording for Yebba's part and it stopped before the resolution, and he solved that problem by taking the My Mind run and splicing it.

I have watched a bunch of reaction videos to this performance and in nearly every case, the person has to stop because it overwhelms them. There is so much chocolaty goodness in both the lead singer's performance and especially in Jacob's that you can't take it in at the speed that it's coming to you. This is the bar being raised.

Have a listen to Jacob's version of 'Moon River' the ending makes my cry every time. I don't understand how you can make music like that.

You’re the only person I’ve seen who has caught the end riff from Yebba being from My Mind. My assumption is that the phone recording didn’t finish the verse completely so Jacob used this to round it out - great video!

@dylanharvey7900 In a separate video, Jacob detailed how he had to splice Yebba’s vocals from “My Mind” since she wasn’t able to participate in the recording this time around. He used a run/vocal section and added it to the very end of her section.

Yebba recorded her portion on her phone in 2021 and Jacob harmonized it then maybe as part of his #IHARMU series. That's why she's so low fi, because she wasn't able to re-record it in 2023/2024 with John and Tori when Jacob added on more to it. You see the video below where Jacob partly directed Tori in what to sing. The whole DJesse Vol 4 album has great music, my favorite being the "A Rock Somewhere" with sitar and Indian influences.You should also check out saje and Lawrence both with and without Jacob.

This is a wonderful rendition of this iconic song. Elvis did this song and I fell in Love. So Hyang knocks this song out of the ballpark. It is like three different songs. Great reaction. Jacob is such a force in music.

You have to watch Jacobs one and a half hour(!) video breakdown of how he created this masterpiece! It is on youtube. Every voice, except for the soloists, is Jacobs. The arrangement is Jacobs. He is obviously a musical genius, but I believe he is here to heal us with universal harmonic beauty. Hits us all in the feels....our bodies release endorphins that cause goosebumps and tears. This was originally submitted by Yebba from her cell phone she recorded in a bathroom per an invitation from JC to all vocalists (see #iharmyou) for JC harmonize …. this submittal by Yebba was so popular when it was posted, JC decided to release a ‘full version’ and asked John and Tori to add the other verses… and the rest is history… You should go look at the tease JC posted for this song with him and Tori going through what JC wanted; him singing the lines to Tori and her singing them right back to him… absolute magic.
