@TheSwoleBroscientist: It's true, none of us know Shaw personally, but sometimes you make reasonable assumptions about a person based on the way they are presenting themselves. For example: Based on the fact that you needlessly attacked Conor Laithe for a harmless statement, I assume that you are a rude and agressive dick. ;)

@@MrInzombia Lol true in terms of no average man is going to want to fuck with a man who is 6'8 350-400lbs and super strong...even a skilled fighter would not want to get into it cause of the risk. However if it actually happened life and death forced to fight ..there are plenty and plenty of much smaller men who would murder Shaw or Hafor in a fight with ease. example...any MMA mid-upper lvl pro and UFC lvl guys at Welterweight and Up would hurt these big guys badly.

Really with any basic training at all it would be hard for anything under a heavy weight fighter to handle them mostly cause its going to throw off the fighters to there generally not going to be use to fighting someone this big the really long reach the weight of trying to move them around all this is before you get into strength you have to consider that a light heavy weight fighting them would be like a heavy weight vs feather weight fight size wise but I do admit around a light heavy weight could win but its not a sure thing .

@@williambrinkmeier1772 lol sorry dude but if you train at a decent level you will see 150lbs men beating 240-300 lbs men who are highly trained themselves eg Marcelo Garcia has beaten world class trained men who were 6'3 250+ so skill makes a huge difference and that's just bjj. A strongman has zero training ..there not naturally 300-400 ..hafor was like 240 as a younger man so the size u see is not natural it's bulk added ..fighters fight best at their frame size extra bulk is not good......we even have a great example the 5x strongest man on Earth Marius pudz went into MMA..and got his ass beat by low level fighters ...he gassed straight away and lost 50lbs...no good fighter is 300+ none zero cause when u fight u will gas fast...even now he never made it far ..so 6'9 400 lbs man lol he would die of gassing and sloppyness fast . Also bigger is not better that's a caveman mentality it becomes counter productive after a a certain size. Not a single heavyweight lhw mw is near as skilled as a fw lw top guy in mma cause smaller guys are more.technical . Anyone past 6'3 250 usually becomes veryyyy goofy unathletic for fighting hence why the heavyweight champs like Cain Stipe always beat Giants who were 300. Also weight classes matter when both guys have equal skill...Brian's is like a child v a UFC pro period. I've submitted 320 powerlifters easily and I'm 184... How do I do it ? Cause once you pass 240-250lbs you have to much size to move and because you don't know wtf your doing you gas out and when Brian or hafor gas out they wolould be killed by even an average man . Also if you think it would take a LHW lol...middleweights in UFC are 6'2-6'3 220lbs + athletic lean and world.class they would kill a strongman ...Damian Maia is a WW 6'2 200 and would submit these guys easily ... maybe lightweights would have a problem.bit those are still 180+ men with world.class ability.

True. But it should have been a NO brainer to have been their for his son birth. Not via video. Reminds me of the Cat Stevens song "Cats in the craddle". Basically his dad had all these commitments and whenever his son asked him for a little of his time it was "Not now, I'm busy maybe later". So when he becomes an old man asking his son for a little time guess what? "Sorry Dad, not now I'm a little busy. Maybe later". I'm glad he has an awesome wife who supports him and that's their decision alone. It's just whenever I hear of these type of stories I'm dumbfounded. A birth only happens once. A competition can be done the next year.

If you read my post above - how bodybuilding has been inundated with mass monsters now.... guys like Kai Greene and Phil Heath (a couple of years ago) - were cursing, and came near to blows on the 2014 Olympia stage. Even in the past - guys like Craig Titus thrown his award down on stage and flipping the crowd off - is just horrible. The whole sport of bodybuilding is a circus - it is a political nightmare. Strength sports like powerlifting an WSM seem to pull in the biggest, strongest, and most humble guys. I've never been in a fight, yelling match, or even HEARD trash talking in over 200 powerlifting meets that I have been a part of. Guys like Thor, Brian, and Eddie are the TYPICAL type guys that you see at these events. Top notch and truly class acts.

The "mass monsters" have now taken over bodybuilding - it is the post-peptide era. It is truly unfortunate that genetics, hard work (gym ethic), and diet have been cast aside by a specific set of 191 amino acids (gH). If you take a look at it (in depth), the mass monsters are considerably less healthy than the guys pre-peptide. They now use IGF-1, insulin, and a host of others that are just plain TOXIC to the system above what is produced by the body. Yeah - the guys pre-peptide used PED's but not to the extent of the ones I just mentioned. Even the classic division is being more and more inundated with guys using gH, insulin and alike. It's a shame - hopefully we (as fans) will put up enough of a front that we can have our voices heard.

Think about it this way - when you have a friend that is starting to diet seriously - they become a bit more agitated - mix that with the androgenic "supplements" they take... well it's about 10 times worse than a regular dieter. Powerlifters and strongmen don't diet (usually) unless they are in danger of going to the next highest weight class. Brian - you are truly a class act and so great for the sport. Bodybuilding has never really had the truly "good guys" that is portrayed by guys like you and Hafthor. Not sure if Larry "Wheels" will be giving the strongman a shot in the VERY near future - but as humble as he is and dedicated to the fan base, I think he would be a great addition as well. Thank you for doing these vids and interviews - and actually talking about some of the struggles i.e. time management. I know when I went to meets when my son was young it was difficult. I know your wife was very supportive of your career - as is mine but it can still be hard at times. One thing I can say, when my son was about 6, he began coming to meets with me and he started competing when he was 15. He is on a fitness path for life and I think it had something to do with watching his dad. Best of luck brother - never lose this side of you !!!
