Brian vs Big Z is the greatest rivalry in Strongman. Two of the best going up against each other year after year. In any other era, either man would have won 5 or 6 WSM titles, but they took wins off each other.

Who takes the other 3 spots? Obviously Big Z, but then you've got Kazmier, Jon Pall, Mariusz P maybe to a lesser extent: Thor, Eddie, Poundstone etc

@@unknown55158 could there be a tougher question? Big Z and Brian are 100% up there. Candidates for the other two spots: Paul Anderson, Kaz, Jon Pall, Eddie/Thor (ironic how they are interchangeable in that conversation; both sky high peaks), Ed Coan, Don Reinhoudt.

Easily top 3 of all time
Something about Brian yelling “YEAH/YES” before a big lift gets me really fucking pumped up. I could be in bed getting ready to go to sleep and suddenly want to lift the house off its foundation 😂😤💪
No matter how many times you’ve seen Brian or his lifts… When you see them again, you just instinctively say “Wow, that’s a BIG BOIII.”
I've been watching Strongman since the 1st one. There been periods where besides the top 3 guys, no one had a chance to win it. In the first few years I bet the average guy was 280 lbs, maybe lighter. Big Don Rheinholdt and at probably 340 was an exception. Kaz as big and dominating as he he was, was 310 to 320? After that the game changed and the Scandinavians took over, but so did the contest. You had to lighter and fit cardio wise or you lost. The weights werent as heavy but the emphasis was on speed. As soon as the Eastern Europeans came in, the Scandinavians were done. They were bigger, faster and stronger. Mariuz was the perfect monster with perfect timing and won everything. But, at 310? he couldnt compete against the new monsters. Frankly, Big Z and Shaw are probably the best of the best. Competing against each other and a huge cast of monsters that were probably the best of all time.

We will never see another rivalry in the sport like Brian and big Z ever again. I feel like every year someone else is going to win WSM these days
Just proves how consistent he is on the kettle bell toss when multiple thrown over hit the first one thrown

He is the Goat to me. Big Z was awesome for sure. Marius had one year I feel was questionable. The best wasn't there, like Shaw and Big Z against each other.
Bryan Shaw was the last of the big name titans of strong man there's no one really left that captures the phrase Legendary strong man realistically in my opinion there's people who are excellent strong men and then there's legends like Bryan Shaw The thing is when a lot of people think str young man one of the names that comes to exemplify it is Bryan Shaw so so yeah

Crazy seeing Brian in 2011 compared to today. His diet and regimen must’ve got better cause he seems to have gotten bigger as he got older.

I always forget that 981lb circus barbell deadlift was from a small deficit AND on a stiff bar. Thats fucking wild
and yrs later after flying through it, brian is the only one to get through all 5 fingers event

Watch WSM 2022 and watch this Brian looks like 2 different people. Here he looks like a complete animal at worlds 2022 he just looked like a guy happy to be there no hunger or fire in him at all!
