1. Mix up a solution of PBW at 2-3oz per gallon. Heat solution to 140 degrees and let sit on spot for 20 minutes.
2. Dump solution and DO NOT RINSE
3. Mix up a solution of Acid #5 at 2-3oz per gallon. Heat to 140 degrees and sit on spot for 20 minutes.
3. Dump and DO NOT RINSE
4. Repeat this cycle until the spot is removed.
You can also make a PBW paste solution and rub on to spot with a rag. You can do the same with straight Acid #5 (be sure to wear gloves).

The action on the CIP ball looks a lot better than the one I bought off AliExpress. Awesome, Bradley.

Hi bradley, soak it little but with oil, turn on heating for 1 min without water, clean dust little bit, ignore brown film and sanitize with NaOH as usuall. Then u can clean with sponge...

Bradley, your to modest, your videos are excellent, I never stop learning from you, I’ve got my fifth valve, and I’ll use it for the CIP in the steam hat, I’m trying to keep it as a closed system, if that makes sense, without having to keep cracking joints.........cheers

Hey there, love your videos. I am having some trouble with the riptide + Brewtools CIP spray head. When I let it run it doesnt seem to have enough flow / pressure and simply trickles down the CIP head. I am using 10mm inner diameter tubung. I am wondering what I have set up wrong as the riptide gets great reviews. Any pointers? Thx

Thanks for the video! I haven't used the CIP ball yet although like Gary said, I think it'll spray the heating elements more if I preheat the water/cleaner and pump that, rather than covering the elements. Let us know if you get stronger cleaning power using it through the top of the steam hat, or on the bottom. Lastly, thanks for turning me on to Acid #5! Love that stuff! Bought a backup bottle as well, haha

Anytime 🍻 The method I demonstrate in this video. Espresso heating elements pretty fully to be honest. 5.5 l of water in the bottom of the p80 normally. Would slightly cover the elements. My rims tube extra hoses and external pump. Eat up some of that volume, when the system is spraying the elements are pertinently out of the water.

Gary Hughes No, I’m in the US. It took me a while to find a place that would ship but finally did. Ground shipping obviously so it takes a bit but it’s definitely worth it! (About $20ish USD for a gallon which lasts a while.) Maybe call Five Star directly and ask them for distributors closest to where you are.

Excellent informative video Bradley, i'm going to have to get me the CIP ball and accompanying pipework...Do you think you could say preheat cleaning water and use the BT pump to work the CIP ball through the top of the steam hat?? just a thought...

You'll definitely find it useful when you get it. You could absolutely do that , It my be a good way to save water and use less cleaner 😉 . I still think it would take more water than using an external pump and heat stores.

Bradley, I have a B40Pro for about a year now. Probably have 30 brews on it. I am wondering why everyone is so excited about the CIP. I got one and it doesn't seem to work with the malt pipe in place so you have to clean it separately. These units are so easy to clean with PBW and hot water, seems like the CIP is a waste for this type of machine. Thoughts?

I'm working on a video with some possible techniques. The CIP set up It's definitely a convenience item. I've used it for 2 Brewdays now + plus cleaning Scorched-Elements and passivating. I'm pretty pleased with it so far. You have to remember that They also make two larger versions of your B40. I imagine the B150 Is very fun to get to the bottom of and clean out. Or if a smaller statute person trying to clean a B80 or Even B40

@@PortlyGentleman Waste might have been a bit harsh; in a B40 without a steamhat it is not necessary and does not add much. Sure, maybe for the B150 it might have some benefit in reducing the water requirements and PBW requirements for cleaning. Thanks for the videos...
