I'd like the valve to give a definite indication as to where it is, a bit off square and it will leak to another port as demonstrated at 5:57. However, I've seen in another video where it has to be in a 5 o'clock position for some part of the process.

@@PortlyGentleman i'm sure they will bud, for me the Brewtools system is soooo much better than any other system thats remotely compatible with it and imo will be massively popular with home brewers in the next couple of years, i'm glad i'm in pretty much on the ground floor, and the good news is its only going to get better...

Hello , What do you think spiral aeration Brewtools? is it good to use it when placing in vats for good aeration before inoculation? or is it not necessary?

Great Channel Bradley! Thanks for the info on the Brewtools gear. I’m looking into an upgrade sometime in the future but wanted to check with you on how you are CURRENTLY using your system. Like so many other brewing equipment sometimes you get a gadget and then ditch it later for a more simplified setup, etc. Can you break down specifically the Brewtools brewhouse items you are using now including what starter pack and any upgraded items you got along the way?

I love my equipment Brewtools keeps making it better and better ! Honestly the best pack is probably the three valve starter pack. I’m getting ready to upgrade my set up , With more valves just to see what it’s like🍻

Hi Bradley, I want to jump in head first into all grain brewing. The advertising sold me on BrewTools and customization but the essential customizations get expensive pretty quick. How can you cut costs? Is BIAB possible to cut out the HLT equipment? Can you do a video on that?

Sorry if I missed this in another video- do you put extra strike water in to match how much will be going into counterflow chiller? I have quite some distance on my CF chiller to the BT unit due to brewing area restrictions/sink location. Should I add extra strike water to make up for the extra length of tubing or should I keep it closed off until I start to circulate when mashing in? This will be my first brew on this system. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks man.

I do not however I also am pretty aware of my system setup and its losses. that's one of those things you just kind of have to figure out. When I'm filling the system with water for a brew.I make sure not to let any water into the counterfoil chill or other pipe work only the pump.

Portly Gentleman yeah that is what I was planning too, I don’t want to dilute the mash plus it would be a pain in the butt to figure out how much extra goes into my tubing and CF then add that to the brewing software etc haha thanks for your help man

@@PortlyGentleman Hey Bradley. I enjoy your channel. Let's say you have a standard 3 way valve connected to you kettle so the two lines are left or right. If the handle is toward you, the valve is closed, If your turn it left from this position the flow is left, Right the same thing, Facing away and toward the kettle flow will tbe in both directions. But of course you're right about switching the handle position. Happy Brewing brother
