    Excellent intro video, i've got that model and am just loving the system and it has without a shadow of doubt improved the quality of my beers, i had a GF before and had 30+ brews under my belt so had a decent understanding of how the brewday works with processes etc...i agree with you about understanding the system before brewing as its very easy to make a mistake with the valve setup [i run a 3 x 3 way valve setup] and i think it could be quite overwhelming to a first time all grain brewer brewing first time on a Brewtools system. The quality of the system and components is top drawer imo and i believe there are already several improvements in the pipeline that Brewtools will implement if the coming months, the integration with Brewfather brewing software being just one, looking forward to theB40 brewday videos...

    I think this system alone could keep us busy with videos on each feature and different way to use it.

    I have a Braumeister, it's not a manual system for the tinkerer. I want a B40 pro as it has better facilities for cooling. I'm a bit sick of the slow cooling process of the Braumeister and its immersion cooler. Plus the max grain capacity is much lower.

    Got the B80 from you guys, along with the steam hat and steam condenser - it’s a great system and the ability to customise to suit your individual requirements is great. 3 brews in and still much to learn... 🍻

    Looks like a cracking piece of kit. I take it the 40, 80 and 150 refer to the Litreage of the pots?

    This is essentially a boiler (when talking about distilling). You would need a still that fits on the top with an integrated lid, but you'll need to determine the circumference first.

    If I would go for this system the first thing I would do is switch to 1,5" ferrules in the pot

  • @wellyftw

    @wellyftw

    3 жыл бұрын

    How come? That doesn't really offer any benefit. The accessories available from brewtools are all the smaller ferrules. Certainly if you have any 1,5" specific accessories it'd be worth getting a few adapters but there's no need to do what you're suggesting.

    Starting at €2400 euro incl chiller package this is not something most people's, starters have lying around. I must say i looks scary to use when having 3 3-way valves and and the center valve to operate. What concerns me the most is if someting happens with the tft controller after the warranty period you have to pay €1000 euro for it. That's scary. I rather would like to see a more durable controller without tft and more mechanical switching parts. This would also make the unit €800 cheaper. The extentend controller cables cost €200 if you would like to have the controller mounted away from the kettle. All very exclusive prices. This Brewtools design is too complicated to operate. If i look at the G70 controller,Speidel Brauwmeister, and clawhammers controller panel they all look more user friendly to operate. Dont forget the some brewtools part are made in china, and the weldings dont look to best on the the €175 steam lid.

    This is exactly what I am thinking. I like size of pot (150litres) but 2500€ for it is more than enough. Parts coming from China and the behavior of company before you buy is horrible. No discount at all (company policy). Marketing is weak, rather not to worry much about that pot.
