Wonderful looking as always!!! I found a couple small boxes of Knight's Retinue in a garage sale so they're going to be my first venture into painting Bretonnians. :)

Stylistically they are very similar to the Wargames Foundry HYW archers which I think might have been from the Perrys as well. This strikes me with all your Bretonnians - they could easily be used for historical games, and I admire your painting skills.

Thanks for the kind words Ralph! I have been interested in European Medieval history since I was young and I think the fact that the 5th edition Bretonnians were sculpted with a HYW style is what really drew me in. I had always had an interest in fantasy as well and being able to put a fantasy army on the table with a very historical look was very appealing. In addition, when I started the army, I always had in mind that they could be used in historical wargaming in most respects.

These are such fantastic models, they nail the Bretonnian vibe so hard! Lovely work!

Thanks! These have always been some of my favorite sculpts in the range. I spent a lot of time deciding how to paint them. I couldn't decide between bright livery of individual knights, the Duke's livery or muted colors. I am happy with the end result :)

Hi Franklinad! I have spent the last year painting a large WWII Soviet army for Bolt Action. I am just finishing that up and hope to return to my Bretonnians this year. I am somewhat active in various facebook hobby groups but otherwise I try to keep my social media time to a minimum. I find I get lots more hobby done if I spend my time working on my projects instead lol! Take care :)
