Finished a Knight of the Realm Standard Bearer, Questing Knight, and do an army showcase of my Oldhammer 5th edition Bretonnian Army. For the Lady!

    Stunning. Whenever I see your Bretonnians they always remind me of the L and F Funcken plates of the French chivalric Order of the Golden Fleece. There really isn't a big step between Fantasy and Historical.

    Thanks Ralph! The 5th edition Bretonnians sculpted by the Perrys definitely have that 100 Years War look that I prefer. I like that they are not too fantastical. This project allows me to kill two birds with one stone in a way(fantasy as well as historical). I am not familiar with the plates you mentioned. Maybe they would offer me some inspiration. Could you share a link?

    @@danbuman8422 Liliane and Fred Funcken are the old style illustrators of uniforms going back to the seventies. They are best known for the Napoleonic uniform books that at one time were virtually all wargamers had to refer to.     Fantastic work on those Knights and the Conversion work creates a different look for the army. You're getting close to a 2k army and a 4th or 5th edition battle

    Brilliant work buddy, enjoyed watching this and seeing your new additions. Your freehand is superb, really love the banners too. The theme is really strong throughout your army now, i love it.     No need to apologize on what you've been working on. These knights are great!! Excellent work on converting the figure and making him unique. Great free hand work on the banner and the fleur de lys. Beautiful looking army.

    Not sure if you're still working on this project but a company called monstrous encounters is making some great models that can fit right into a bretonnian army. They have a great foot knights range that fill the gaps for those hard to find miniatures.

    Hey Dan, I just found your channel through HeresyProducktionz. Fantastic work with those Bretonnians! I'm thinking of building up an Empire army myself, though I'm planning on using a lot of proxy models. If you're interested in proxies yourself, check out Fireforge Games; they have a lot of minis that look very Bretonnian, including pegasus knights I believe.

    It is a toy Keenway plastic playset I found in a thrift store for a few dollars and then repainted. I did a video that gives a closer look if you are interested.
