She seemed hesitant with the ball early on. I was trying to figure out if it was due to nerves or second guessing herself because of the coach. Based on how she’s performed under pressure in the past I tend to think it’s the latter

@@LaLa2time Of course Caitlin made turnovers, but is she known for making many turnovers consistently? That has to be taken into account. She's still adjusting to the new system. That being said and you never denied it, the coach's ways leave much to be desired. If Caitlin adjusts in the next games and they still lose, then it's more than evident this is a coaching issue though even now I'm calling that based on Sides' track record.

The reason the Fever got the 1st pick is because they were the WORST TEAM IN THE W IN 23-24. Even Wilt couldn't carry a team full of bumbs when he came into the league. She's gonna get her numbers, but wins are going to be at a premium until they surround her with adequate and get rid of that stick in the mud coach.

That would help. Doesn’t seem Sides knows how to get best results from her players. CC should handle ball less. Saves her from unnecessary wear & tear. She needs to get 10+ point shots per game. Doesn’t Coach know about Double Screens? Her play calling is terrible. Everyone knows that opposing teams are going to increase their physicality & try to put a hurt on CC. There is no flow. Too much one or two man plays. Sides needs to either change her style soon or she must go.

Iowa WBB season ticket holder here. I can tell you there is ZERO chance Lisa Bluder would ever coach the Fever or any other team (college or WNBA). Her letter to fans tells it all, her husband is now retired and she wants more time with him and her family. The BIG10 is expanding with the west coast teams next year and that means more late night games, longer travel time and more mate night flights. It seems to me (as a retired person also) I can relate to her decision. She is done coaching.

On her instagram she shared a post on her stories where the post was about Coach Bluder retiring; and the caption from the post (that someone else wrote, not Caitlin), was something along the lines of “having a coach who lets you play freely for four years”. ....then she deleted it shortly after because it did not last the full 24hrs that a story lasts automatically. Weights, plyometrics, and yoga. 3. Clark needs to get stronger and move better on defense. Weights, plyometrics, and yoga. 4. Clark needs to develop a fall away and turn around jumper with in the 12 feet of the basket. 5. The pressure has to be immense on the rookie who was a college force just a month ago. Watched this game. The coach is already negatively influencing her by pushing the deep two concept. Caitlin had several shots she "always" took when at Iowa but now she's trying to adapt to the coach's philosophy which is like asking Curry to only take twos. Also the big woman under the basket was dominated and the team overall did not support her. Caitlin looks like she will be the best player on this team by mid-year but the coach may be setting her up for failure if she feels constricted with the three-point shot. Terrible, terrible mistake.
