not really. We couldve given Tuchel the same contract duration (which is why the negotiations with him failed), went for Xavi or de Zerbi, waited for ETH or got Flick before the 2nd Xavi drama episode. Sure, he wasnt the first choice, but its also not like this is a last resort. The management sees potential in him

Yet I dont see so many people mocking Liverpool for signing Arne Slot. And as I said. In order to implement a certain style of play, you have to have authority over the dressing room. Do you really think that Kompany will have that authority in that dressing room? A dressing room that consist of Thomas Muller, who has had a bigger footbal carrer than Kompany. Football is not just about tactics, you have to take psychology in consideration as well.

Most successful manager never had successful football careers you see that’s why your analysis doesn’t necessarily fit. I think he will command more respect when he get results on the pitch. He brought in poor quality young people players, sorry but buck stops with him. We had players good enough all that was needed was some experience. But no wreck a winning team and stsrt afresh in the premiership. Never going to work did he truly care I don't think so. He was planning his exit before the end of the season. A case of can do well in a big club but not in a small club.

Think its a good signing tbf. Potential is everything and VK has already shown it. The Burnley spirit never actually died and they did get much better after they changed keepers. Was brave, developed players, and all under the spotlights also (Amazon etc?), VK handles pressure and for me it is a good appointment. If Warren Buffet was mining for football management opportunity then he'd surely consider VK
