    One thing I love about this episode is how much processing Walt has to do in a matter of seconds while he decides whether to interfere with her choking or not - he has maybe 10 seconds at most to calculate how much she’s impacting Jesse’s life if he saves her, which is then directly impacting his own life, vs what letting her live would mean for both of them. He has to make a split second decision, and then after he has a moment of shock and sadness and disbelief at what he’s done, he looks up and you just see Heisenberg in his eyes.

    One of the best reactions to this particular episode. It's unusual to see someone trying to understand WW's point of view, but he definitely had so many good reasons to act this way...

    Kudos for your very realistic, and fair, assessment of things. It's really refreshing to see someone not feeling sorry for Jesse when Walt's trying to keep him from blowing the 💵 they worked for, on drugs. 19:38 You're exactly correct. Recovering addicts aren't supposed to get into ANY relationship during their first year of sobriety. It's just too much. But two addicts?!?!?.... Noooooo. Never. It kinda doubles their probability of using again. And greatly lessens their chance for success. Ps. If that girl had blackmailed any other person in the drug world; she'd have been dead without the blink of an eye.

    Remember in episode 2 ( or maybe 3?) when Walter made his list of "Pros & Cons" about weather or not to kill 'Crazy 8' ? He agonised over all the different reasons and all of the potential outcomes. He spent hours thinking about it.... and even when it became clear that Crazy 8 was going to kill him, Walt STILL had reservations about doing it Now in this episode, he runs through the same list, in regards to letting Jane die or saving her, in about 5-10 seconds. Walt has crossed another line here

    My wife has a similar body type, and loves your style. Question: If [part of] my birthday gift to her is shopping for her and picking complete outfits that I think she'd look good in...would you advise: "Aww, that'd be romantic" ; "Sure, but don't have high expectations, and get a gift receipt" ; or "Mmm. No. Don't do that." ?? (All ladies can weigh in, lol).

  • @TheRepublican777
    @TheRepublican777Ай бұрын

    In such a short amount of time that Walt had to make that decision he didn't think about what that would do to Jesse to wake up to her dead body he could have caused Jesse to overdose or kill himself out of guilt soo something else he should have thought about that

    It was so nice and smart of Walt Jr to make that charity website but I feel that he did it because his mom wanted him to get a job to help out and pitch in but he was too lazy to get a job so he figured out another way to help out lol and that's fine

    "He's gonna let her die?" Well hell yeah, she's so fkn crazy n dangerous, in one night she almost destroyed everything, she def would've ended up blackmailed Walt down the road so... oh well. It's not like Walt made her take the drugs or whatever, he could've saved her but why shoudl he? She wouldn't had been grateful. Jesse is his psrtner n she's not only bad for him but bad for biz, Walt cares about Jesse, that's as far as his responsibility goes when it came with those 2.

    I think up until this point, despite the bad or cowardly decisions Walt has made up to this point, you could still think of him as a good guy in a desperate situation. But when he watched Jane die and did nothing, you can't defend him as a good person any longer.

    The show is called Breaking Bad for a reason ;) I think with the peekaboo-episode, it's clear that Walt is not a "good person" anymore, because there we could see the real victims of the stuff he produces and sells. Jane on the other hand, as nice of a girl she was at first, had it coming. Not saying what Walt did was right. But turning Jesse into using heroin, than blackmailing a guy she knows is in the drug business as soon as she heard about the money. That was her own choice.

  • @lexwells4763
    @lexwells4763Ай бұрын

    What I never liked about this Jane character is how she feels she is entitled to Jesse's money. Jesse is the one who was beat up by Tuco when he tried to sell him their meth. Jesse and Walt almost die out in the middle of nowhere when their RV wouldn't start. Jesse and Walt almost died when they first tried to sell to Crazy 8. They are the ones who had to melt his dead body. Jesse was kicked out of his house and fell into a portable potty and after all that its somehow Jane's money? I'm glad she's dead.
