By browning everything together all the flavors are enhanced beautifully together. I don't skimp on anything, I just don't eat fats the week before! It's so worth it!
Diced and sauteed bell peppers and mushrooms are a must in our breakfast casserole. As well as a hollandaise sauce for pouring over top! 🤤

Noticing your yellow Tupperware took me back in the day when I used to have one of those and I think it was a lettuce keeper. Only one piece of that gold kitchen ware live in my kitchen. I had some green pieces too. Mine had a good run!

I never thought to cook the hash browns but that makes sense. I have always felt like the hash browns could be cooked longer. I defrost them and just mix with everything….can’t wait to try your method! ❤

I just brown the hashbrowns in the same pan I'm baking and serving in. The flavors are so much better.
I love this with the hash browns and sausage! You mentioned an omelette type casserole.. if you've never used canned diced roasted green chiles and monterey jack cheese with the eggs and cream and butter the dish I think you'll love it too. Put the grated cheese and green chiles in first then pour eggs over last and it will set with the cheese. I named it chile rellano casserole.. it has a delicious flavor. But right now I'm going to give your breakfast casserole a go! Looks so yummy!

Cooked the fireman’s casserole for my family when they came for Christmas. They love Ed it, Will do the hash brown one next time. Know they will love it and I will too.

Nice dish for the holidays when family is visiting and you don't want to be stuck in the kitchen for hours. I would put it together the night before without the liquids. In the morning, scramble the eggs and liquids and pour over and bake. Yum!
love those ingredients. am gonna try a crockpot variation: 2 or 3 chopped potatoes w/ raw sausage on top cooked til meats about done, then top it w/several eggs stirred up w/ chopped green onion, red pepper, fresh parsley , & the double cheese on top of that, all in crockpot til eggs r done. serve w/ salsa & sour cream. ( yes it takes longer, but fewer pots to clean up:)
Mmm MMM I would totally put some warm Salsa on top of that!!

That looks so yummy Tammy. When I'm in the mood fix The Hub Zendaya casserole it's usually very similar to yours the only thing that I might do or that I do do if I've got it and I usually have it is to add green pepper!

Just a note to say how much I so enjoy your videos, Tammy, and the wonderful things I've learned that I didn't know. I will be 71 in November and a country cook. Fat back and buttermilk was a staple in my frig. Just like you, I also learned from my mother and grandmother. But no matter how old we are God calls all of us his children and we are always learning. Looking forward to trying this recipe on my fellowship this Sunday. Oooo, I make this with hash browns O’Brien. It’s cubed potatoes, diced onions and green peppers. And then top the finished product with sausage gravy. Super num yummy! Maybe next time get you an O’Brien mix, or make your own. Seriously, my family loves it, especially for dinner once in a while. Oh and the sausage and egg ratio is the same.

I make this, but put crescent roll dough on the bottom. I also add cooked bacon. I love that I can prepare it the night before and cook it the next morning.
Yum, yum! Add a side of cinnamon rolls and that would make me a happy, happy girl. Can your cinnamon rolls be made up and covered in frig overnight til breakfast time so you could bake it the next morning?

Hi Tammy, I looked at the products that you use and the one thing that I didn't see was a food processor, I use mine all the time and would be lost without my cuisinart. Every time I see you grate cheese it makes me cringe. I grate my cheese in it and then put it in the freezer, that way I choose the type of cheese. It does many things to make life easier.
I love my blending fork! I use it for so many things!
I can't stand when the hashbrowns or tatertots aren't browned before being baked in a casserole , just taste simply horrid to me !!! This looks simply delicious
these are all substitutes for heavy cream. Milk and butter. ... Soy milk and olive oil. ... Milk and cornstarch. ... Half-and-half and butter plus butter. ... Silken tofu and soy milk. ... Greek yogurt and milk. ... Evaporated milk. ... Cottage cheese and milk

@@jabez9710 I like all jimmy dean but sage is my fav.i was raised on a farm my day made home made sausage lots of it was loaded with sage,you can buy bulk sausage we call u like u make your own patties I do some with Xtra sage and some with tiny bit of crushed red pepper.i have a breakfast muffin that call for reg jimmy dean I get sage, Bisquick cream of mushroom soup little grated onion and lots of grated cheese I can taste that now
I'm not big on butter or margarine, could I use olive oil? Thank you
