No Brasil refrigerador é o eletrodoméstico inteiro, a parte do "freezer" nós chamamos de CONGELADOR. Achei interessante que a palavra usada para se referir a geladeira em alguns países, se parece muito com "frigideira", que é a panela que usamos para fritar.

Interessante que frigideira vem de frigir, que é o verbo do qual deriva o adjetivo "frito" (e daí a frase popular "no frigir dos ovos"). Acho que, nos países em que se usa uma palavra parecida com frigideira para se referir ao refrigerador, isso surgiu como uma abreviação da palavra refrigerador, mesmo. Como no inglês refrigerator = fridge.

The Italian is interesting it doubles the consonants and at the time of pronouncing inifies the sounds of the same to the kenos and generous the letters are audible and spoken to have a strong sound. It is a charming language and should be more phonetic rather than doubling consonants and in some cases vowels. We also say: vamos fazer uma "call", when it's a fast meeting. But that happens only in business, like in large/medium size companies, and also it's more often used in meetings between 2 companies, when it's a meeting inside the company it's oftenly called "reunião"

Here in countryside of São Paulo, quite a lot of people say "oreia" in the singular or "zoreia" in the plural, instead of the standard "orelha(s)". So the Quebecois and the Creole words hit close to home to me.

@@antoniopera6909 Aqui onde eu moro existe uma clara diferença entre singular e plural dessas palavras, só no plural o z é adicionado. Olho vira ôi, olhos vira zói, até a vogal é diferente. É como de esse S do artigo fosse reanalisado como um prefixo de plural, de forma generalizada e não restrito a só essas palavras, minha avó por exemplo não fala "oh, meninos" quando nos chama e sim "oh, zminino!". Além disso, a gente não faz concordância de plural, então isso só acontece com substantivo. Na verdade, uma frase típica no nosso dialeto (caipira) tem pouco plural e quase nenhuma conjugação (ex. eu vou, cê vai, ele vai, nóis vai, eis vai, cêis vai).

@@valerioluizfelipe então mano, o que eu tô falando é que o marcador de plural está sempre no artigo/pronome, não no substantivo (que pode ou não concordar com o artigo) Você pode dizer tanto "meus ói" ou "meus ôi", o marcador que indica plural é o pronome "meus", então tanto faz você falar "meus olho é/são verde" ou "meus olhos é/são verde" E como eu disse, isso não é exclusivo do sotaque caipira. É uma lógica de fala presente em todos os sotaques do Brasil. Você vai ver tanto cariocas como nordestinos e sulistas falando "nós tudo vai no cinema" em vez de "nós todos vamos ao cinema".

Like Quebec in central Mexico the use of anglicism is frowned upon. There are certain words in certain context in which you could use English but is mostly disliked specifically in the upper classes. Lower middle class people use too many anglicism and it’s just not right.

Na verdade você pode chamar toda a geladeira de refrigerador também, só é menos comum. Só congelador que usamos pra parte especifica de congelar.

Entre empresas, conversando via e-mail, etc, é muito comum usar o meeting para uma reunião e uma "call" para uma reunião rápida

@@viniciusbueno4226 Sim, mas quem fica falando isso é tirado como sem noção e ridículo. É como quem passa alguns meses nos eua e volta falando com sotaque forçado.

Pior que não, em empresas é muito comum esse tipo de linguagem. É tipo "network" (teia de relações) que é usada o tempo todo por esse povo que faz administração.

@@antoniopera6909 Meu amigo, entenda o que eu disse. É comum em e-mails, memorandos, comunicados internos e coisas do tipo, mas,como já disseram aqui, em conversas informais é visto do jeito que falei.

Todas as palavras que ela usou, tem em todo canto do pais praticamente. Só que uns são mais usados que outros.

8:11 “Frigidaire” is how it should be written for the slang in Québec for “Refrigerator”. I think “Frigo” and “Frigidaire” tends to be interchangeable in Québec.

If I'm not mistaken, Frigidaire used to be a refrigerator brand and it became usual to call the appliance by the same name ... pretty much the same as Coke or Kleenex.

En el dialecto colombiano, segun la zona en donde vivas su jerga cambia. Viendo que la chica tiene rasgos de ser de la Región Andina Colombiana, pensé que diría algo como "Parcero" al referirse a la palabra amigo, Pero ¿Pana? .____. a menos que tenga parientes Venezolanos, del resto "pana" NO es una jerga directamente en nuestro dialecto colombiano.

@@AndrewASW6840 claro lo hay, pero hay frases de frases y Pana es una expresion que no forma parte de ninguna de las regiones de Colombia (ni de la R. caribe que es de donde soy yo), te la creo si la chica es de Panamá, Venezuela, hasta del caribe (caso de R.Dominicana) preguntale a cualquier colombiano de esa vaina y te dirá lo mismo que he mencionado. A menos que tengas parientes de los paises mencionados.

I can also understand Zoreil, because in french Quebec, if we talk about ears on a plural form its : Les oreils : but the the S gets linked with O because it's a vowel : so it will sound like : Les_zoreils. the S and the end it silent haha.. French is hard!

This unfair rule of french Haitian caribbean eliminated zoreyles and zorey the z is spelled never silent, it's great advantage against french that values only silence letters and forgot spelled letters vocals and consonants the word zoreile in french cames from Haitian Caribbean zorey.

In Quebec we also use Frigidaire, because of the brand that makes Refrigerators
