Bravur Team Heritage - Inspired By The Iconic French Cycling Team Peugeot

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality fit finish and overall feel of this watch from Bravur
Drawing inspiration from cycling, this brand designs some unusual watches
Personally I found this particular watch extremely durable and very versatile in a nice clean package

Their case design is a true winner if you ask me . Exceptional looking watch at a glance and I think and they could do just about anything with that in the future as well . I like what I see so far .

I ride a road bike and don’t get the connection to cycling. No cyclists I know wear watches when riding. Many other micro brands give you way more bang for far less money. Another solid review Peter but this watch is a tough sell.

I really like it. As an amateur cyclist we may have legs but our arms and wrists are thin. It definitely fits a niche, there are so few integrated sports watches with an original shape for our sizes.

You’re right; it seems to be well built (at that price, I surely hope so! 😆) I really love cycling and, unfortunately, when I see this one, I don’t think “let me slip this one on for my ride”. Other than the design elements that tie in really well with Peugeot, and the fact that it has smaller proportions and great contrast and readability, this one seems way too fancy to use on a ride 😅 To me, this one is a very well built daily wear that, once on your wrist, gives you peace of mind b/c of it’s WR and confort. Another great review my friend. Your pics and close ups are stunning. Thanks for sharing your passion.

I got hands on with this one at the last recent 2024 Worn & Wound Wind-Up in San Francisco. It was definitely one that caught my eye from their table and maybe one of the favorites from that watch fair. Their colorful chronographs are pretty sweet, too, and a buddy of mine who was there was most attracted to one by the end of the show.

I think it’s a beauty. It’s hard to do simple yet elegant sometimes. And I get a cyclist would wear a rubber strap versus a bracelet, but at this price there should probably be an option for both. Thanks as always for the great review!

I often name Bravur as one of the top microbrands in my experience. The quality is very high and the design sensibility is where the brand truly shines. While I accepted the brand's cycling enthusiasm and appreciated the creativity in their chronographs that celebrate well-known cycle tours, I could not relate. This Team Heritage series strikes a much better balance. The cycling influence is apparent in the details as long as you know what you're looking for, but arguably it's all the better if you don't, because then it's just a very well conceived handsome dressed up looking sporty watch. The case is a hero, the dial is a hero, the crystal is a hero (the one on my 37mm Bravur X Windgårdh is also among the best), and the rubber strap integration is a hero. The lack of lume on the markers is unexpected, but on balance probably smart to not so it than to do it badly. The black with subtle green accents on white works wonderfully well. I think the hands should stay just as they are. What I feel I have to point out, however, is that Bravur offers the more premium SW300 series in other watches at a very similar price. In that respect I regret that we see the more pedestrian SW200 appear at this price. While movements are not my key motivator, the SW300s do noticeably feel more premium when handling them to the SW200, and the extended 56hr power is welcome. This is a watch one buys for the design as long as the cycling theme doesn't disagree with you. I think it probably stays most in the background with this Peugeot version. I'll be interested to see what other variants this serie may yet produce, but of the current three, I'd pick this. However, I don't really need another Bravur watch to desire.

I admit the case and crown design is truly great, BUT: the price is crazy for a virtually unknown brand, they only offer the same not integrated bracelet for every model and the dial but especially hands on this model are rather uninspiring...

The best bit of the the design of this watch is the strap to case . Its beautiful. Im not a fan of rubber but the grey strap looked great. The side profile looked similar to an omega aqua terra , but the omega is just nicer. Call me old fashioned, but its hard to spend over 1k on a brand that isnt proven. Christopher ward is in that same price category, and actually the 12 o clock logo , could be mistaken for a CW. You could purchase this watch and not like it much, so whats the value then ? A similar priced seiko would still hold 60% of its original value. Its a nice enough watch , but nothing is really unique about it, to take the plunge . Great vid as ever .

Very nice looking watch. The only thing I could see for improvement, would be that for the price (and what they're trying to do), I would much rather a higher grade version of the SW200 movement. To me, that would make better sense, since cycling is a race of seconds, so why not make it as accurate as possible?

This watch is definitely not my style and or aesthetic, but despite that, I have to agree with @mb9472 here. I think this watch is extremely well thought out, has beautiful and coherent design, looks incredible on those rubber straps in such a seamless organic way and for $1800 AUD (or CAD where I am from) or $1200 USD, I think the price is not as unreasonable as every other watch fan suggests here. If you decide to break down a watch to its bare bones specs and components then sure... it isn't worth it, but few watches are. I think you are paying for an incredibly well thought out piece with completely unique design that is unlike anything I have ever seen before (in a good way that makes sense... even though it isn't for me) and thus it is like paying for art. I can appreciate incredible art and appreciate that it is worth some stupid amount of money, but still want to frame "Dogs Playing Poker" at my home! Keep up the great work Pete! Beautiful watch Bravur!

I just looked at the rest of their watches on their website... and just so you know that I am somewhat unbiased... I do not love any of their other designs. None of them demonstrate the same coherent design. They are unoriginal with case design or just randomly quirky with random designed dials with raised lume plots or sandwich lume dials (Grand Tour) or way too many rounded circles (Geography) and lines or excessive busy lines and markers (BW003) random classic syringe hands (Scandanavia) or oddly their brand name below the hand stack with open space above the hand stack (collaboration with Wingardh). So... despite saying this watch isn't my style... it would still be the only one I would ever buy! So... well done Bravur on this watch and hopefully you consider the watch as a whole for more of your watches moving forward!

There is so much thought that has gone into this and it just works all together perfectly. Someone tell me who these guys copied their design from? Case unique. Rubber band integrated. Unique. Dial and markers unique. Crown (well thought out). Logo... Better than Christopher Ward. Dial texture and separation balanced. Well friggin done!

@@PeterKotsa You've been super helpful. I agree with you about the Miyota sound. Recently, I've come across a few watches that use the SW200 movement and the rotor sounds similar to the Miyota, because the cases were smaller (under 39mm) and thinner (under 10.5mm). I believe this may be a result of the rotor noise being amplified by the acoustics of the case. Thanks again.

Yellow - Le Tour, red - Vuelta, pink - Giro. Just a marketing trick. Prices are very close or same as for Oris, Longines, Heuer etc. which means RIDICULOUS for this upstart. PS. Watch which you presenting is extremely boring.
