I’m 16 and had to get one to try and control my period and had to get it out as it didn’t work but they couldn’t find it or feel it as it was to deep. And now the only way it can come out is if I go under general anaesthetic on the operating theatre as it’s to risky and deep and they have no clue where it even is as it can move once in. They can cause a lot of suffering. Those meds are becoming much harder to get and the withdrawal for benzodiazepines is worse that torture. Those who go through it tend to try suicide because it's so horrendous. It is so much more horrendous than trying to cope without meds. Plus tolerance develops quickly so she will need more and more to get the same effect so eventually even the strongest dose won't do anything to help. She may be elderly but it wouldn't be too much of a stretch if she lived another ten years. All of this could easily happen within that time span, worse if she lived longer
These old codgers that leave their wives when they are old really get up my goat. But yet if he was in a wheelchair and needed caring for, she would have been there until he died. Poor lady, just wanted to give her a hug. I hope that girl has a plan for contraception now.

I know I shouldn’t be but I’m so annoyed that this young lady is removing her birth control partly because her boyfriend can’t “deal with her mood swings”. Is he going to be able to deal with her mood swings if she becomes pregnant? Yes, I heard her say she can’t deal with her mood swings either, however, I bet 9 out of 10, it’s because the boyfriend kept saying it, or something close to it. I hope she has another device in mind for when the implant is out, especially if she’s not ready to be a mom yet. With all that said, I love the way the nurses treated her. They were so sweet, considerate and professional.
